Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) Right now, I’m just busy working on “Young Sheldon.” I have a YouTube channel that I’m going to start making some videos for, but right now “Young Sheldon” is my main focus.

Q) What can you tease is new this season on “Young Sheldon?”

A) What I can say is that Veronica is back in this season. Georgie might or might not have another girl crush. I’m not saying it is, but that might be happening. That’s all I’m going to say. [laughs]

Q) Do the kids spend much time together off the set?

A) Absolutely! We are all kid actors and we all have busy schedules. Especially with them being eleven or twelve years old, I’m sure it is hard because usually kids their age are not working regular hours such as they do. So, I’m not in their shoes. But I’m sure it is tough for them to work a full job. They treat it well. We’ve had some days where we’re tired, but when it comes down to it we all enjoy hanging out with each other. It feels like a family on set. We’ve been on the show for three years now so they’re not just my friends they are my family. I enjoy it.

Q) Talk about working with TV parents Zoe Perry and Lance Barber.

A) It’s awesome! Like I said, we’ve been working the show for three years now. It’s like they are my second parents. Not only because they look after me, but they are just the sweetest people. I’ve hung out with both of them off set, away from work, and they are just amazing people all over. They both have amazing families. Lance has amazing kids and they are just overall great to work with.

Q) Have the writers enfused any part of Montana into your character Georgie?

A) That’s very true. They do because Georgie wasn’t on the “The Big Bang Theory” before he was on “Young Sheldon,” so they are kind of building the character around me, personally, in real life. That’s really, really awesome. There are a couple different things that I’ve put out there in the air and I’ve talked to them about it. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m really involved in that type of stuff, but I like the concept behind everything whether it’s writing the script or something that they wouldn’t know about that I would. I just like to help out in that way. I don’t want to give out what I did or didn’t do because I don’t know if they will put it in the script or not and I don’t want to spoil it. In the past I have given different ideas.

Q) You have great comedic timing! Is it a natural ability for you or something you have had to work on?

A) I wouldn’t say I worked at as an actor because I just grew up around two sisters. I didn’t have any brothers so we’re kind of always messing around and having fun. I’ve only done one other job before this and I’ve never taken any acting classes. I had people want me to take acting classes, but I don’t really feel the need in that. I just want to stay authentic and everything. I guess it is all just natural.

Q) Who can you tease are some guest stars we’ll be seeing appear this season?

A) Georgie’s love interest (Isabel May) is awesome to work with. Like I said earlier, there might or might not be another girl coming on the show that goes to the high school. Georgie might be talking to her or might not be. Like I said, I’m not going to say anything. But they are both awesome young ladies to work with and I really enjoy working with them.

Q) What have been some of your favorite scenes to film over the years?

A) There have a bunch that I loved! In the pilot there was a scene where me and my dad are in the locker room and we have a heart-to-heart moment. It’s kind of like we filmed it yesterday because I remember so much from it. When we were filming that it was kind of like I never felt as plugged into my character. After we were rehearsing, it was kind of like I feel like Lance and I just work really well together. When we were filming that scene, it felt so real life and I hadn’t been acting very long. So, I learned that it’s better for me to act when it feels real life and that’s a moment where it felt right.

Q) What do you think it is about the show “Young Sheldon” that has made it such a fan favorite?

A) I think not only the comedy on the show, but also the love on the show. The family sitting down at the dinner table. It’s just really a show where literally anybody can watch it, whether you are watching it by yourself or watching it with your family. If you’re watching it by yourself, you’re still going to get a very, very good laugh. Then, if you’re watching it with your family, there is so much family love in the show that it is a very, very good family series to watch. I feel like that’s really how the show is getting all this attention from because of the fact anybody can watch it.

Q) You are not super active on social media, so what are some of the fan reactions you’ve been receiving to the show in real life?

A) I’m not too big on social media. I don’t like to fall into all that stuff. I’ve had people come up to me in real life and even on social media I might read a couple comments (but I try to stay away from them). There are always the haters and everything like that, but I don’t pay attention to them. Every fan, if they DM me, I’m going to message them back because that is who watches the show and without them, we wouldn’t have all the success of the show. So, I thank the fans so much. Everybody that comes up to me I love to talk to them and I love to take pictures with them.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?

A) I would like to say thank you and without you the show would not be a success like it is. If you have a family, I hope you keep watching with them.
