Sport psychologist Andrea Barton (Rita Wilson) tries to get Ginny Baker (Kylie Bunbury) to talk to her after the leak of a video. Ginny tells her that the past forty-eight hours have been standard for her as she deals with the pressure of fame. Forty-eight hours before, Ginny signs an endorsement deal with Nike and they give her a pair of shoes and a glove to wear at the launch party. They show her a mock commercial of their ad campaign that spotlights her as the first woman in baseball to the approval of Ginny and Amelia Slater (Ali Larter).

Amelia and Mike Lawson (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) spend the night in the hotel room. Lawson tells Amelia that Ginny seems to be okay with them dating because she invited him to the Nike launch party, but Amelia believes that Ginny is only pretending to be okay with it. Ginny is looking at photos from the campaign and has a panic attack. Amelia answers her call at 3:30 in the morning, which wakes up her and Lawson as she rushes to comfort her. Ginny talks to her about the pressure that the ad campaign is putting on her and Amelia encourages her that it is a good thing for her.

In the present, Barton tries to talk to Ginny while she is in the batting cage. After telling her that she needs to talk to her instead of doing batting practice, Ginny admits that the ad campaign doesn’t feel right because she doesn’t feel that her accomplishments are that significant. She refuses to divulge more and goes for a run, with Barton tagging along. In the past, Ginny is struggling in the game. Lawson goes to the plate to talk to her and she gets annoyed with him after he mentions her panic attack from the night before – thinking Amelia has shared their private conversation. Al Luongo (Dan Lauria) comes over to tell her to get her head in the game and everyone goes back to their positions.

After the game, Ginny answers questions in a press conference. Luongo asks Oscar Arguella (Mark Consuelos) and Charlie Graham (Kevin Connelly) what is wrong with Ginny. Oscar tells him that Ginny came into his office to request that Blip Sanders (Mo McRae) not be traded and is worried that the Nike endorsement deal might be too much for her at the moment. As Oscar and Luongo argue over whether they would treat her differently if she were a male player, Graham tells them that they shouldn’t do anything to prevent things from getting worse.

Evelyn Sanders (Meagan Holder) tries to do Ginny’s makeup. Amelia brings in the dress that Ginny will wear to the party. Ginny’s enthusiasm doesn’t match Evelyn’s and Amelia tells her to keep her to let loose tonight. Ginny asks her to keep their relationship separate from her and Mike’s. Amelia tells her that Mike was there when Ginny called her and Ginny tells her that she will only call her to make deals from now on. In the present, Ginny runs on the treadmill and Barton walks next to her. Ginny still refuses to talk despite Barton’s insistence that talking to her will be good for her.

At the party, Ginny walks on the red carpet. The photographer asks Ginny to pose with Lawson, but Ginny makes a snide remark to Lawson as they pose. A photographer asks Blip for a picture, but Evelyn tells her that he won’t take photos he’s not getting paid for. As Ginny talks to Blip and Evelyn a waitress, Cara (Lyndsy Fonseca), comes over and Ginny confuses her for a fan. After she walks away, Ginny expresses her frustration with Amelia and Lawson. Elsewhere at the party, Amelia and Lawson talk about Ginny, and Lawson is worried that their relationship cost them the game. Amelia breaks up with him, telling him that he was never really into them anyway.

While Eliot (Tim Jo) flirts with a fellow publicist assistant, Tina (Gabrielle Bourne), Blip comes over to Lawson and tells him that he thinks that Amelia is good for him. When Mike doesn’t share his excitement, he figures out that they broke up. Ginny poses for photographs, but has another panic attack outside of the party. Cara brings over a drink and asks Ginny if she wants to leave the party after seeing that she’s distressed.

Barton tries to talk to Ginny as she lifts weights and Ginny tells her about Cara. She admits that she gave up college to play baseball and Barton asks her if she ever thought about what would have happened if she hadn’t. Ginny tells her that her father’s death made things uncertain and her goal was to get to the MLB either way. Ginny and Cara drive away and Ginny is relieved to be free from the party. She tells Cara that she needs to be up early tomorrow, but Cara encourages her to stay up late and party. Amelia looks for Ginny at the party, but can’t find her. Cara takes Ginny to a house party and the other partygoers are surprised and excited to see her. As Eliot asks Tina out, Amelia sends a series of texts pulling him away to deal with the emergency.

As the hours fly by, Ginny goes crazy at the party and tries to dunk a basketball into a net over a pool. She realizes that she needs shoes and borrows a pair of New Balance sneakers. She jumps into the pool in her expensive dress and several partygoers film her on their phones. Eliot gets several alerts of the video and shows it to Amelia, who demands that he find her as soon as possible. Lawson goes to visit his ex-wife, Rachel Patrick (Joanna Garcia Swisher), and finds that she is hosting a dinner party with her fiancé David (Jay Ali). He invites him inside, telling him that it’s awkward whether he stays or leaves.

In the present, Barton asks her why she chose to wear the New Balance sneakers. Ginny tells her that she couldn’t give up her father’s glove for the one that Nike wanted her to wear. Eliot and Amelia arrive at the party and find it deserted. Eliot finds the dress by the side of the pool and Amelia is frustrated by Ginny ignoring everything they worked for. Eliot tells her that he’s given up everything for this as well and Amelia tells him that she will give him a raise. In addition, Eliot asks to be given the title of Director of Social Media. Luongo, Oscar and Graham argue over what to do about Ginny. Oscar suggests sending her to Triple-A to get away from the spotlight and Luongo argues with him. Graham says they have a moral and economic reason to keep her on the team and decides to call in Barton.

Ginny goes through a drive-in with Cara as they decide to go to the beach. Lawson helps Rachel cleanup and they talk about David and their relationship. Lawson admits that he’s still in love with her and Rachel says that he only wants what he can’t have. Rachel tells him to take some time to figure out what he really wants and they hug. They nearly kiss, but Lawson walks away. Ginny wakes up in parking lot of the Padres’ stadium and Cara tells her that she drove her back. She thanks Cara for a good time before Cara drives away. Amelia brings her coffee and tells her that the video is everywhere. Amelia tells her that she has to do serious PR to prove her loyalty to Nike and Ginny thanks her for everything that she has done for her.

Inside the clubhouse, Ginny apologizes to Luongo, Oscar and Graham for her behavior. They show her a video of Ginny breaking down at the bathroom and confessing to Cara that she doesn’t want to go back to the team or play baseball anymore. Ginny is worried that Cara posted the video to the internet, but Amelia tells her that she gave it directly to them because she was concerned. Ginny apologizes, but Graham tells her that they’ve hired a psychologist for her. Luongo insist that she’s not fine and Ginny agrees to talk to the psychologist.

In their session, Barton tells Ginny that her breakdown is the only healthy thing she did that night. Ginny admits that she liked hanging out with Cara and her friends because she got to feel normal for once and she is unsure if she still wants to play baseball. The pressure of being the first woman in baseball gives her an impossible standard to live up to. Barton admires her progress and tells her that she’s on the right path to figuring things out. Amelia goes to see Ginny and tells her that the nude pictures from her ex’s phone have surfaced.
