Q) What drew your inspiration for the isolation theme in the “Buck Wild” music video?

A) We had to adapt from our original plan, with everyone being stuck at home. We wanted to make a video that was funny and that people could relate to in these crazy times.

Q) What did you find challenging about shooting the music video?

A) No challenge for me considering I wasn’t in the video too much. I would say trying to keep a straight face while watching the actor dance in his short shorts.

Q) When it comes to “Buck Wild” you also mention “buy everyone a round, that’s how it’s going to go down,” treating this like a fun song to party, drink and frankly just get “Buck Wild.” How do you think your fans can relate to this message?

A) I think deep down everyone is just looking for a good time. I am just trying to make music that helps give them an excuse to do so.

Q) There is something about you presenting a Chris Young bass and Jason Aldean showmanship. What adjective would you use to describe yourself as an artist and why?

A) Booming – I’m loud, deep and resonant.

Q) What is your songwriting process you go through?

A) The process usually starts with a concept followed by the melody and then lyrics.

Q) Then do you grow a connection to your song through the songwriting process? How so?

A) Absolutely, I am connected to everything I write about because I have lived it.

Q) With new song “Lit in the Sticks,” you talk about lighting up the party, a good time, no dress code. and a banjo kind of fix, which has gained much momentum among your fans. What do you think it is about partying, and having a good time that is needed right now boosts peoples’ spirits?

A) I think it is very important for us to not take life so seriously all of the time because it can be here today and gone tomorrow. Enjoy the present.

Q) Are there any artists that boost your spirits, with perhaps a “banjo kind of fix?”

A) I am a huge Prince fan so anytime I hear his music I feel a spark.

Q) When you perform, what mentality do you set for yourself right before you reach that stage?

A) My mentality usually is to attack the stage like it may be the last time I ever step foot back on it again.

Q) You got several songs from “Buck Wild,” “Lit in the Sticks,” “The Dirt,” and “She Knows It” among others. Which is your favorite to perform currently, as I am sure it always evolves?

A) Currently it has to be “Lit In The Sticks.” I love the energy we get back from the fans when we play it.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song?

A) Male – Blake Shelton or Jason Aldean

Female – Carrie Underwood

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the work you do?

A) I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. All of your support truly means the world to me and I promise to give you everything I have in the tank.
