Q) In the movie A Summer Romance you play Richard, a wealthy real estate developer. Please give us a little preview of just who he is and what drew you to this script.

A) Pretty much Richard is a wealthy businessman protégé of his father’s business who comes to this ranch to help save it from going under due to money loss issues. What he doesn’t realize in this process he forgets to set himself up for lodging, etc., and is forced into staying on the ranch and living the life outside of the box that he knows working and doing what’s required for ranch life. As you’ll see in the movie, he soon begins to realize how life is completely different than what he knows from being a complete city boy. What drew me to this script mostly is the unending love that I have for the outdoors!

Q) Were you familiar with costar Erin Krakow before starring with her in the film?

A) Yes, for sure. We had run into each other at numerous Hallmark events and I knew of her work on “When Calls the Heart.” And when the possibility came up of working together it was something that I definitely wanted to do for a long period of time. She is an amazing person to work with so far on and off set and truly made the process amazing with filming this movie.

Q) The movie is themed around a ranch and riding horses. Did you have much experience with riding before this project?

A) Briefly, in my time when I was younger, I did have experience and was around horses and I’ve always been one to love animals. When the concept of the movie came out, they allowed me one on one time to work with some pretty amazing individuals that taught me how to and really made me feel amazingly comfortable throughout the entire shoot.

Q) You are a very outdoor in nature kind of guy. Do you think that helped you a lot in preparation for the movie?

A) Most definitely. I love to be outdoors and one on one with nature and the feeling of being free. So, when the idea and the opportunity came about, I completely jumped on it a hundred percent. With this movie everything was completely magical and truly was an awesome time to film the project.

Q) From seeing the previews you and Erin seem to have an awesome vibe between you. What did you guys do offscreen to prepare for your scenes together and bring the chemistry to reality?

A) Yes, we actually got to do some riding together on her set on “When Calls The Heart.” Some of the amazing individuals who trained the horses on that show was one of the very same people who did this movie with us. So, it was a very comfortable feeling in collaborating together on this project and I truly feel we probably will be doing more in the future I am hoping.

Q) What were some of your favorite scenes to film for this movie?

A) Everything and anything that had to do with being one on one with the animals. There are a few scenes that stand out, but mostly you will see one scene that we filmed that had a beautiful overlook and it was at one time when the camera stopped filming that the horse that they had put me with I felt truly connected with me and trusted me completely. Definitely one to keep watch on for anyone watching this.

Q) What do you think it is about this movie that will make it a fast Hallmark viewer fan favorite?

A) In general, I think it’s just the overall concept that Hallmark brings to every project. With so much out there in the world it’s refreshing to be a part of a network that brings quality television for all the viewers and I think this one will top it off as being just a simple romance with beautiful scenery and a pretty amazing concept that I think the audience will love at any age.

Q) You started in daytime television with “General Hospital,” which is where most of us got to know you. Now doing movies, do you feel it’s a change of pace for you or do you find both to be the same?

A) Honestly, to me, it’s one in the same yet very different. On daytime television you are pretty much on a time schedule – five episodes within a certain timeframe and multiple pages of dialogue. With Hallmark you have close-ups, different scenes all in one day but the same principle of getting it done. It’s just how you pace yourself.

Q) You work has grown so much now with Hallmark and daytime TV.  Is there any actor or actress that your hoping to work with on future project?

A) Wow! There are tons, but the first I can think of is Jessica Lowndes, which we almost did a project together but scheduling issues stopped it from happening. Jessica Sipos is another. There are just so many to name!

Q) What are some upcoming projects you are working on?

A) A few I can’t disclose right now, but be on the lookout. It really has been an amazing ride so far with Hallmark Channel!

Q) You have a great gift in creating and making Jewelry. Will we be able to see more coming up soon?

A) Yes! Very soon, hopefully later this fall!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do on screen and off?

A) Thank you for all the support. Thank you for allowing me to do what I do. It truly is a pleasure to do this thing and get the feedback that I do!
