The episode begins with Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) filing a “Fun With Flags” episode. Sheldon apologizes for a mistake Amy made in the last episode, causing her to give him a look. She apologizes for him having his fly down during said segment.  Amy goes to read the emails, but Sheldon tells her to take off her glasses because he thinks that it will cause someone to see her password. She tries to read an email, but it’s blurry so she has to put her glasses on again. The email says their theory has been proven, so they scream THEY DID IT!
As this is happening, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), Howard (Simon Helberg), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) are going to Leonard and Penny’s house. Penny quips that she remembers when they only did it on Amy’s birthday.
At dinner, Howard says Bernie has some news, which is that a drug she has been working on for the past five years has been approved by the FDA. After some talk about her past issues with the drugs, she offers Penny the job of heading the sales department. Penny isn’t sure, but Bernie thinks it is a yes.
Sheldon and Amy come in to tell them they did it and needed two physicists from Chicago to tell them. Everyone is confused until they explain, which baffles Penny. Later that night, Penny is doing the dishes when Leonard says he is proud of her. She says she knows how to do dishes, but sometimes is tired. He doesn’t think she is using soap and takes over.  Penny isn’t sure about the job with Bernie because of how she acts, but Leonard tries to talk to her about it before she makes a decision.
President Siebert (Joshua Malina) is in his office when his secretary pages him that Amy and Sheldon are there. He sends them in for their meeting. He wants to hug them, but Sheldon won’t do it. They discuss the fact that the physicists are coming to see them and if they win they will be 39 and 40. Sheldon calls dibs on 39 until Amy says it doesn’t matter what age it is.
Bernie is in her office on the phone, saying she will remember this and the fact that the person on the phone also tried to take her office while she was on maternity leave. She hangs up and says she can’t be angry at a dead man. Penny comes in and says she doesn’t want to leave her current boss short handed and that her boss doesn’t want to lose her. Bernie is disappointed, so Penny pretends to be as well.
Amy and Sheldon have a lunch meeting with Dr. Pemberton (Sean Astin) and Dr. Campbell (Kal Penn). They talk about the excitement of meeting them and how excited they are to go to a taping of Ellen with John Stamos. They go on to admit they don’t understand super symmetry, but they are changing the face of physics. Dr. Campbell even gets so excited he hugs Sheldon, despite President Siebert telling them not to.
At lunch, Leonard, Howard and Raj try to discuss TV, but they are not on the same page for any show they watch. Sheldon joins them and tells them about the meeting. Leonard warns him that their Nobel Prize can be given to the other doctors because they proved the theory….despite not knowing anything about it or even writing the paper.
Bernie meets with Penny and calls her out on her lie. Penny tries to blame it on the new antidepressant (with the alleged side effect of lying) and then admits she is insecure about taking the job. Bernie thinks she can do it with the right attitude and being mean to people. She also yells at some guy who comes in without knocking.
Sheldon meets with the doctors again. They agree to share credit, but only if they drop Amy for not being a physicist.
At dinner, Bernie complains to Raj and Howard about Penny turning down the job. They don’t get why until she tells them that she is good at changing people and making them better, including making Raj stop wearing Crocs with socks and Howard into who he is today.
Sheldon tells Amy about the meeting and Amy is willing to step aside to let Sheldon have a shot at his dream. She thinks that this may be his only chance and doesn’t want to stand in the way. He says that he wouldn’t even be where he is now without her. She just wants him to be happy.
Bernie goes to see Penny to apologize and tell her that Karen will get the job. Penny says Karen stole her yogurt and finally admits she is nervous and ends up accepting the job because she knows Bernie’s game.
Sheldon tells President Siebert that he has to include Amy or they won’t bother. Siebert says that it might cause a fight, but he will back them. Sheldon admits he now has nervous energy, allowing Siebert to show him the gym. Sheldon hopes there are monkey bars there.
The episode ends with Penny at work, introducing herself for her promotion and giving their assignment. Karen (Chasty Ballesteros) asks if she knows what she is doing and Penny asks her if this is a contest than winner gets a yogurt. Bernie tells her she did a good job and Penny acts tough…until Bernie says that doesn’t work on her.
