Q) What is Doc feeling going into Season 3?

Tim: Doc definitely brings in the gravity of what happened at the end of Season 2. He sends his little girl away and he is not going to deal with it very well. I feel bad for in a sense as he’s the only one from out of time. He also lived in a well for 150 years. We don’t want to underplay that because Doc can get a little crazier. So, I actually think the old cowboy is doing pretty good. But we know Doc sometimes selfishly looks out for himself and he might do that again in Season 3. In some ways he’s doing it more for Alice. He does go to Hell in Season 2 and he doesn’t want to go back to Hell. For Doc, it’s a Biblical Hell. He’s also mortal now so he’ll do whatever he can not to go back to Hell.

Q) Talk about the chemistry between Doc and Kate.

Doc: I can’t say too much other than it exists. I will say that Chantel Riley (who is a great addition to the show) and I had great chemistry. We got along really well, and I remember that we had so much that I sent an email saying, “We have a lot of chemistry. I’m nervous because I have chemistry with someone else on the show.” We’ll just have to see how it plays out.

Q) What can you tease is in store this season on “Wynonna Earp?”

Doc: It’s “Wynonna Earp.” There will be romance, drinking, killing, donut eating and most importantly potatoes.

Q) What are you most excited for with Season 3?

Doc: Well, we started off pretty good with vampires. So, I just love that already it’s like boom! We have vampires when it’s always been the revenants. So, it’s like, “Gee whiz! You have revenants and now you have vampires. What don’t we have?” I think we opened the door and we’re not going to close that door in Episode 2. I think we’re going to keep going with the madness.

Q) Are there any monsters you would like to see make an appearance on the show?

Doc: I don’t know how it works. I wouldn’t call him a monster either, but if you know me at all, then I want Galactus to come over – the planet eater. He would try to eat Purgatory and Doc Holliday trying to beat Galactus would be awesome. [laughs] Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano), Doc and the gang would be there helping. That would be pretty awesome. I’m sure the Marvel-SYFY thing would be tough to work out. That’s what producers look for – those deals that can be done.

Q) What are some scenes you are most excited for fans to see?

Doc: There were so many. I can’t say which one because it would specifically be a spoiler, but it was with Melanie. It was another one of those where in the moment I was in the moment because you’re acting and I swear I always tell people, “With Mel, just be in it because you will connect with you.” When you do a scene with her, she’s always so present. After that scene, it was something else. After that, she was like, “I know. That was super awesome.” I think it’s 307.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from filming Season 3?

Doc: Yeah, there are a billion. There are so many things that happened. For me, the important moments for me this year were not on set, but they were with…We got so fortunate this year that we got to start going to these conventions for only Earpers. To think that we have that is insane. For me, as much as I love this show and how big it is becoming, I think my favorite thing is how big this fandom is becoming and how supportive it is of each other. The fandom has become so important and it’s not even about this show anymore. We get to be a part of that fandom and for me that’s when I feel special. For me, it’s like we let people into this show and now they’ve let us into this fandom, which is a very special place. I remember that Earper Con UK was the first convention that we had and a fifteen-year-old girl was there with her father. She had come up to me two weeks before and her father had come with her to the convention to show that he would support her because he knew that in that community she would supported right away. There is this show, but then there is something else going on where you’re like so much more than us running from tentacles. So, it’s been pretty awesome.
