Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Eclectic for sure. I grew up listening to jazz, rock and roll, r&b. My music reflects some of that.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Sade and Amy Winehouse.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Solo.”

A) I was drunk and alone in my room and ended up writing “Solo.” The Drupes produced this track and I fell in love with it.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) The melancholy lyrics that bring joy in being alone.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Most times I don’t need music to write, but it definitely amplifies the process if I have a great beat. My writing process includes me singing and finding melodies with my lyrics. Being a writer, you need to be able to produce your emotions onto paper. I love doing that.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) Production is so fun, I love adding live guitars and piano.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Tina DeCara performance?

A) A live performance is different each time I love adding live talent. Acoustic is my favorite, you can hear the rawness of my vocals.

Q) Will there be a full EP or album to come in the near future?

A) Yes, yes, and yes!

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) New York City! I grew up seeing Broadway plays and live music at such a young age at most concert halls in NYC. It’s just a train ticket away. Reminds me of my youth

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Hm. I really love Post Malone currently. Little Mix is awesome as well.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the docu-series “Saturday Morning Fever?”

A) That was so much fun being on TV and acting! I loved it. The main reason I was a part of that show is because they let me be myself and perform my music!

Q) What did you personally take away from your time working on this project?

A) Working on “Saturday Morning Fever” I grew so much as a performer and actress. This show kept me so motivated to keep pushing my dreams.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is so fun and such an easy way to connect and get one on one. It’s so important you connect through all platforms because they can see how honest and genuine I am not only as an artist, but as a friend my fans can talk to.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) You mean everything to me! Thank you for all the love and support. More music and exciting news are on the way this 2019.
