Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments, so keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: STAR, “Watch The Throne” – Alex takes back her stage!

I have watched Alexandra Crane (Ryan Destiny) take so many hits when it comes to her solo performances over these past seasons. I was screaming, “YASSS!” during this entire “Temptation” performance. Watching Alex take the stage back, that she was initially promised, was such a badass moment see unfold. The label wanted her to give up her moment for a person who continuously bad mouthed her. As soon as Alex told Gigi, “Remember, the label put you one my stage. You’re eating off my plate,” I knew Alex had a takedown prepared. She swiftly showed Gigi (Keke Palmer) up in front of an audience that Gigi’s aunts hyped up for her. It was a power move and shows just how much growth Alex has had during Season 3. Other times she would have been surprised and went along with it, but on this occasion she took matters into her own hands before the situation was out of her control. I love that after the previous two seasons we’re finally seeing Alex consistently standing in her power and knowing her worth, while also sticking by Take 3. Ryan Destiny is killing it this season.

Comedy: Superstore, “Blizzard” – We’ve officially been together for too long.

After being stuck inside because of the blizzard moods were bound to turn ugly. Jonah’s (Ben Feldman) groaning every time he moves to a different position irritates Mateo (Nico Santos), causing a ripple effect for everyone else to start telling what they don’t like about each other. After everyone goes around sharing everybody’s different annoying qualities, a customer tries to hop in with one about Amy (America Ferrera). However, all the employees immediately jumped in and told him he needed to stop talking because no one cared about his opinion. They honestly shouldn’t have because he is the customer, but I understand their attitudes considering how long they had been stranded. Plus, Amy is one of their store family members. I love how quickly this group can say some harsh things about each other one second, but then turn around and defend each other in the next. They may not like everything about each other, but this group of coworkers have a crazy close bond. I always love when the whole ensemble is together on the show. It’s definitely when some of their best comedy moments come out.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Star Trek: Discovery, “The Red Angel” – The Red Angel is revealed!

After purposely putting herself through excruciating pain to draw out The Red Angel we saw Micheal (Sonequa Martin-Green) succeeds in her efforts. Once The Red Angel resuscitates her and is captured, Michael can finally see who has been appearing while she’s been in danger. It’s her mother! This scene was so well done. The special effects were amazing and the build up to this moment was perfect. After all the emotional scenes throughout the episode, it made sense for the ending to be a grand stirring of feelings as well. Sonequa Martin-Green was amazing throughout the whole sequence and the final moments to show her recognizing her mother hit the emotional note that it needed to.
