Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: MacGyver , “Code + Artemis + Nuclear + N3mesis” – Not so fast!

Riley’s (Tristin Mays) past came back to bite her this week and it caused some of her old friendships to take front and center. The first meeting between Peyton (Holly Deveaux) and Riley after so many years was definitely my favorite encounter between the two. I could already see that Peyton was going to be the mastermind behind it all from the flashback, but she played her emotions so well. The tears in her eyes after Riley apologized really brought it all out for me. She was definitely too quick to comply, but she convinced Riley. The tables turned with Peyton willingly on the bad side of the law.

Comedy/Reality TV: Modern Family, “Finale Part 2” – The last goodbye.

Haley (Sarah Hyland), Alex (Ariel Winter) and Luke (Nolan Gould) sitting on the couch finally realizing that they’re going to miss each other was when it really started to hit me that this was the end. I’ve never been a hardcore Modern Family fan, but I can appreciate the great things it has brought to the screen over the years. This scene in particular was so heartwarming because it was the children we have seen grow over the years into adults. They still navigate a lot of the same ways, but they’ve changed so much. And after they had their fun remaking a video, they took a moment to take all of the changes in. It was special scene to put into the series finale.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Roswell: New Mexico, “What If God Was One of Us?” – A family on the mend.

Isobel Evans (Lily Cowles) helps bring Arturo (Carlos Compean) through his pain over Rosa (Amber Midthunder) and it was the most precious scene. His struggle to feel as though he deserved forgiveness and if he could give it was all brought to the surface as soon as he saw his daughter standing in front of him. The scene was so well done as it faded out and Isobel began her closing monologue.
