Top 3 TV Moments – February 21 – February 26
By: Malasha Parker
Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!
Drama: Ginny & Georgia, “Pilot” – The sweet Georgia.
Though this show has many issues in various areas, Georgia (Brianne Howey) is a character that I felt was going to bring the best story throughout the season. In the final moments of the premiere episode there are flashbacks of Georgia and her late husband with Ginny (Antonia Gentry) in their old home. While we’ve heard and seen a little of what Georgia is capable of, we see in those last moments that Georgia poisoned her husband because of his inappropriate act with Ginny. I can tell that she’s going to have a great storyline and I’m ready to watch more to learn where her story will end up.
Comedy/Reality TV: Little Women: Atlanta, “A Life Worth Celebrating” – A Celebration of Minnie.
In this week’s episode, the women had a memorial for Ashley “Minnie” Ross. The moments spent at the gazebo with Minnie’s mother were beautiful and I am glad the women were able to have this moment after such tragic loss in the midst of the pandemic. The women share stories about Minnie and how even with the differences they sometimes had with her, they loved her and had a friendship and relationship with her that they will always remember and cherish.
Sci-fi/Fantasy: Resident Alien, “Love Language” – Humans lie.
“Humans lie. It’s what they do… Maybe they don’t want people to know who they really are.” These are the words that Harry (Alan Tudyk) says that really stood out to me during the episode. It is definitely a true statement and speaks to an overall theme for the season as Harry is disguising himself as a human. That moment had him reflecting on how he was treating his wife and the children who already know his true identity.
