Top 3 TV Moments – January 3 – January 8

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Return” – The chosen one.

In the final moments of the season 2 premiere, it seems that Zoey (Jane Levy) chose Max (Skylar Astin) as the person she may want to have a relationship with. I’m not sure how well this will stick because she didn’t necessarily give a definite answer to define the relationship, but I hope that they don’t heavily continue with the love triangle. I was glad to see that she finally picked someone and, hopefully, that will lead them to move away from that kind of storyline and into something more interesting.

Comedy/Reality TV: The Great North, “Sexi Moose Adventure” – Growing pains.

Beef (Nick Offerman) starts to feel like there is too much change when he finds out that Judy (Jenny Slate) has a job at a store. It causes him to spiral at her birthday party. It’s a slightly chaotic, but quickly done scene that shows just how Beef is feeling in the moment. The family understands that things can’t always stand still, but it’s just a bit harder for Beef to grasp at the moment.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: The Watch, “Ook” – Goodbye.

The cold opening with a short battle that leads to a character’s death sets up the rest of the episode. I enjoyed how it immediately picked up from episode one and went straight into the story. The characters are intriguing, but I’m not fully sure how I feel about this week’s sci-fi/fantasy.
