Top 3 TV Moments – September 13 – September 18

Each week I’ll be picking the best drama, comedy or reality TV and sci-fi/fantasy moments from the shows of the prior week. They may sometimes be equipped with some of your favorite ships or tear-jerking moments. So, keep reading if you are still not over what happened on your favorite TV show this week!

Drama: Ratched, “Pilot” – Never misses on an outstanding performance!

In what was a more lackluster series premiere than I had hoped for, “Ratched” did not deliver. Paulson’s performance as eerily cynical, meticulous Nurse Mildred Ratched is what gave her scenes the power to get you through the episode. The scenes between her and the head nurse (Judy Davis) and doctor (Jon Jon Briones) showing how she takes over the room were brilliant. I’m going to finish the series because of Paulson and how much I love what she brings to this character. Also, for the gorgeous costume and set design.

Comedy/Reality TV: Archer, “The Orpheus Gambit” – Everything has changed.

Archer (H. Jon Benjamin) realizes that everything has changed and it’s making him feel left out of the loop. But he gets a suggestion from a friend that maybe he should just try to fit back into the dynamic. It’s been three years, so he can’t expect for nothing to have changed. Since everyone is happy, he shouldn’t try to disrupt it to just make it fit into how the dynamic used to be.

Sci-fi/Fantasy: Raised By Wolves, “Faces” – Who are you really?

Mother (Amanda Collin) telling Marcus (Travis Fimmel) who he truly was and igniting the rage inside of him was my favorite moment from the episode. Mother saw right through the facade Marcus was trying to place and the scene gave Collin a chance to give an incredible performance. The conversation had repercussions that will change everything.
