Q) How would you best describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as rock n’ roll!

Q) Who are your Top 3 musical influences?

A) The Over the Edge (1979) movie soundtrack, Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) and playing piano in the morning.

Q) Since the release of “Ballad of a Misspent Youth,” what has been the reaction and comments from fans and listeners to the single?

A) It seems like a very good response!

Q) “Ballad of a Misspent Youth” is a single off your upcoming album of the same name. What are some themes that you explore on this upcoming album?

A) The album explores a lot of themes that are personal to me, my experiences and the way I view the world around me. Some of the themes are drug addiction, suicide, nepotism, East Atlanta and dreams.

Q) Which song on the new album was your favorite to write and record and what makes them so significant for you?

A) “Love Sick City” is a song that I wrote when I had COVID. I locked myself in my studio, watched the film Streets of Fire and wrote the song while watching it.

Q) What track(s) challenged you the most creatively for the album?

A) Every song is challenging in its own unique way. Some write themselves easier than others but can still end up being challenging in the studio, or vice versa. Some songs take 6 months to finish, some songs take six hours to finish.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from exploring Ballad of a Misspent Youth as a whole?

A) I’ve never thought about that. I just hope that they dig the songs!

Q) You were originally slated to do The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, which was curbed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With the upcoming album, are there any plans for a tour to promote the album?

A) Yes — stay tuned!

Q) I love your taste in punk music, especially with the New York Dolls and The Clash! If you were given a chance to collaborate with a punk music legend, who would you love to work with and why?

A) I would love to work with Iggy Pop. He’s a legend.

Q) Who are you currently listening to?

A) I’ve been listening a lot to a 1970s band called Lords of the New Church.
