Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My sound has been described as a mix of alternative pop and indie pop/rock. I often use reverb and distortion in my music to create a dreamy-heavy sound with elements of synth and guitar being the main instruments.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) The Beatles, Alvvays, Lily Allen, Cocteau Twins and many more

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Come Around.”

A) This is the first song I pre-produced with the guidance of Rungroche (CEO of my label).

I always simply write songs on guitar. However, this time me, my producer and Rungroche gathered up to design the whole song before I begin to write. Verses of the song were designed to be a quiet and cute guitar strum along with vocal, switching with delightful guitar riff to sparkle and add up the fun. We want the fill up the song with dynamic; pre chorus is uplifting then the chorus is heavy and bitter. I wrote this song about my crush in high school (which he is now my producer). The song portrays a kind puppy love when you keep showing each other signs and got so excited when they come around. Nevertheless, high school will end, and this moment will be gone. That’s why “Come Around” is a nostalgic and bittersweet song to me.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) It is probably how bright and cheerful the song is and also they could possibly find the lyrics quite nostalgic and cute.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A)  My music video refers to the youth that everyone wants to get back to; The video is about a girl watching her favorite childhood sitcom on DVD.

One of the characters in that DVD world recognizes her and eventually breaks into the real world.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I usually write everything from my heart just like writing a diary to get everything out of my chest. I write most of the song on guitar and some keys.

But lately when I want to spice up my lyrics and melodies, I’d ask my producer to make music first so I can make everything more fun.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) Usually, my part is the lyrics and melody. I finish writing my song first and then talk to my producer about how I want certain songs to be.

I sometimes help him with riff melody and suggest to him some add lips.

Q) After dropping three songs last year and “Come Around” being out now, will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I’m working on it. Hopefully, there will be an album next year!

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Lido Concert Hall and Blueprint Live House. I have plenty of good memories performing there because the crowd was beautiful.

I love seeing people enjoying my songs (and my in-ear monitor worked perfectly fine)

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with Lunar Vacation.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I love listening to Rocketship and most of artists from Sarah Records. Lately, I have been obsessed with Twee pop a lot. I love perceiving the sweetness and childishness of these type of songs.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media can show what I like and how my lifestyle is. Even more, fans can be able to interact with me.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say that I feel really grateful for the support, and they really mean a lot to me. And I hope to share more about my music and arts with them in the future.
