Jimmy (Chris Geere) and Gretchen (Aya Cash) are having sex in the beginning when Gretchen begs Jimmy to do something he promised her he would do – taste his own semen. After her begging he does this and says it tastes like “salty fruit glue,” which is exactly what she thought, too. She then sees that her Lyft is here and decides to hop in the shower, claiming they will wait if she marks down she is handicap and in a wheel chair.

After she leaves Jimmy goes to check the mail and sees he has a $700,000 check written to him from the network that is making his book into a film. He is so struck by this crazy amount of money and he has no idea what to do at first. He decides to buy a high tech, WiFi built in drone and loses it on its first go in the air.

Jimmy goes to Paul (Allan McLeod), Lindsey’s (Kether Donohue) ex-husband, to be his financial adviser and help him decide what to do with this money. Paul says even though he believes that all relationships should be based on honesty, Jimmy should not tell Gretchen about the money. He says this because of Gretchen’s crazy debt, which has become a recent frequently talked about topic in the series. Paul says that Gretchen has even tried to take out credit cards in his name before.

After this happens Edgar (Desmin Borges) comes in crying about his sick grandmother…Jimmy snaps back, “What do you want me to do about it? I don’t have any money,” as not to reveal to Edgar the huge lump sum he just got. It turns out Edgar was just trying out his acting on Jimmy so he could skip work. He calls his boss and tells him the same thing…to which he then feels bad because of how much his boss cared about him.

Becca (Janet Varney) comes in and she is “so worried” about Vernon (Todd Robert Anderson) and tries to sleep with Jimmy. He obviously isn’t for it, but she gets into his bed naked and tricks him into “holding her” so she could quickly snap a picture of them, threatening to send it to Gretchen if he doesn’t pay her. She knows about the money. Jimmy knows that Gretchen wouldn’t care and would probably laugh about it, but for fun he takes a shot of Becca naked and says, “Five hundred dollars or your mom finds out you didn’t have a natural vaginal birth.” Becca walks out after saying, “I’ll Venmo you.”

Meanwhile, Gretchen is trying to tell the rap group she does PR for that Lindsey is now taking over. She throws them a carnival to soften the blow, which they still do not take well at all.

Back at Jimmy’s, Edgar’s boss calls and has went to Edgar’s grandmas house and is taking her out for lunch saying she is perfectly fine so there is no reason that he should not come into work. He is freaking out about this and Jimmy is just complaining about being ridiculously rich.

Now comes Vernon. He is trying to get a piece of Jimmy’s money too by telling a sob story about how even though he and Becca have lost all their money – and their baby sleeps in a drawer – it has brought them closer. However, he needs money for his hospital treatments. This is interrupted by Gretchen, who still doesn’t know about the money. Sam (Brandon Mychal Smith) and the rest of the group come over to announce they are dropping the company because Gretch tried to drop them. She promises Lindsay has matured as Gretchen comes in the door with tampons and champagne. Lindsey then impresses them all with everything she has booked up for them already.

Lindsey goes over to Jimmy and she has a feeling overcome her to give him oral sex. She says she only gets this feeling around rich guys. Becca comes in and then Paul, revealing he told Becca and broke their confidentiality agreement. He argues for Jimmy not to worry as he is going to turn himself in to the FDIC. As this is all happening, obviously Gretchen is super confused because Jimmy still hasn’t told her.

He brings her in the bedroom and shows her the check, saying he didn’t want anything to change between them. He then goes outside to tell everyone asking for money (who have decided $10,000 each is fine) that instead he has paid off his mortgage he is now owning the house forever. They then go outside where Jimmy reveals to Gretchen that he bought her a new car. They realize they are growing up and it is bittersweet. They go to get pancakes.

As Gretchen shuts the car door, it pans to in the future with the same car door but rusty and used. It is an older Jimmy getting out to reveal the house for sale because of escrow.
