Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Raw, vulnerable, versatile.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I grew up listening to everything from Eminem to Paramore to Nirvana. I’d say my music is definitely an influential mix of the three.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Wake Up.”

A) “Wake Up” is about the overwhelming feeling of sadness and disappointment when someone close lets you down.

Q) The video for “Wake Up” has you waking up with a ton of different emotions. How did you come up with the concept?

A) The concept derives from the feeling of isolation – waking up in a daze and simply going through the motions the next day after a tragedy. The dramatization of waking up in a tree/in the road was used to intensify that feeling of not knowing what’s going on. It’s almost like you’re sleepwalking that day.

Q) You’re a part of social media. What kind of response have you been receiving from fans about the track?

A) The response has been awesome! Everybody seems to relate to the record in some way. That’s all I want.

Q) What is your song writing process?

A) It’s quite simple. I mumble melodies into the mic and piece the ones I like together. Then, I develop a concept and write to the melodies.

Q) Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) 99% of the time yes.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I don’t necessarily produce my records myself, but I’m very involved in the process when working with one of my producers.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) As long as I don’t lose my voice in the near future probably. [smiles]

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I haven’t done too many performances yet, but New Jersey always shows so much love.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Post Malone

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) The new Drake album is fire. I don’t care what anybody says.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I luv you mfs dearly
