Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) We try to keep it diverse. We all take musicianship pretty seriously and that opens the door to curiosity and experimentation in different genres. For the most part, we’re a hard rock band.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) So many between the four of us. We’re into anything from Metal to Jazz to Cuban Chan-Chan to Rap.

Q) What made the band decide to take on Wham!’s song “Everything She Wants?”

A) We’ve always done covers throughout the years. Some work better than others. “Everything She Wants” is just a great song with heavy, raw emotion. It translated pretty well to hard rock and we were able to make it our own and that’s usually the clencher.

Q) You have some incredible cameos in the video. How did you arrange for everyone to appear?

A) We just did a cattle-call for the fans basically. Then, we reached out to all of our friends and had them submit ten second phone videos of themselves getting down. It was pretty easy since everyone is doing zoom meetings and virtual jams these days.

Q) Aside from “Everything She Wants” are there any other covers you all have been working on?

A) Like I mentioned, we always have a couple laying around. I don’t wanna give any secrets away.

Q) When it comes to original Alien Ant Farm tracks, what is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) By this time, we’ve tried everything and found it can happen in no certain way.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) We’re all involved, especially with writing and demoing. We’re all pretty decent recorders and arrangers but we always love the right contribution.

Q) What are your Top 5 go-to cover songs to play for fun?

A) Again, I feel like this would be a bit of a spoiler if I were to get specific. I apologize.

Q) Do you currently have a new album or EP in the works? If so, what and when can we expect to hear on this upcoming project?

A) We are working on a new record with our new label Megaforce. Everything is kind of set back at the moment with the pandemic, but I’m hoping maybe we can release another track before next year.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I love playing in England. Our fans there are just absolutely involved. We’ve worked over there for so long it’s like a home away from home.

Q) In past live shows, what was one of your favorite songs to perform and why?

A) For some reason it’s always fun for me to play the songs off of Up In The Attic because I wasn’t involved with that record as I was out of the band for a minute. So, I find some excitement in making them mine.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) SANTIGOLD

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I’ve been listening to Sundowning by Sleep Token quite a bit. It’s very different and sexy. I think there’s something for everyone in their music.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Yeah! I like Instagram a lot because it still has a bit of art to it with the platform being predominantly visual. So, I like photographs and taking them. Mostly it’s about promoting the band as well as interacting with fans. It’s fun but if not for the band I’d probably just read or go on a hike instead.
