This is the third round of judge’s cuts on “America’s Got Talent” on NBC. Julianne Hough, Simon Cowell, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel are joined by Ellie Kemper to pick eight more acts to move to the live shows.

Greg Morton—He is a 60 year old impressionist still chasing after his dream. His routine includes impressions of Jurassic Park, Gremlins and Good Morning Vietnam. The judges love it and Simon thinks he is bringing the show back to its roots.

Carmen Carter—She is a singer with a powerhouse voice that impresses Ellie especially. Simon warns her about doing cover songs, but overall the judges seem to enjoy it.

We get to a montage of acts that fail to impress, including Ray Underwood and Magic and Nicolas Wallace.

Gonzo—He does some karate acts with a tambourine and has a translator? He is also an alumni of “Britain’s Got Talent.” Jules thinks he woke everyone up and Simon encourages the audience to cheer for him.

Revolution—They are a dance team from Argentina. Gabrielle seems to love them, as does Simon. I love all the fun bells and whistles they added and, so far, they are my favorite of the night.

Marcin Patrzalek—He is a teen guitar player that hails from Poland. He adds a lot of energy to the performance and quickly earns everyone’s approval. Jules even thinks he has a chance to win.

Another montage, then we get to Ansley Burns, the girl who did a cover of Aretha Franklin in her audition. If you recall, Simon made her sing twice. This time she does Carrie Underwood and Simon once again makes her sing it again acapella. The judges seem to like her, but I have a feeling her competition is too stiff.

Light Balance Kids—These are the kids of the former Light Balance act. They use lights and technology to do an act paying tribute to the USA! Ellie loves them so much she gives them thee Golden Buzzer!

Stephanie’s Child—This is a drag group that immediately gets buzzed by Simon. They banter back and forth, but the act is actually kind of decent. Howie vows to fight for them.

Nick and Lindsay—They are a husband/wife knife throwing act. They are good and literally take my breath away with how scary the act is. I’m also impressed with the violin they are able to add to the fire, mallet and knife throwing. The judges go crazy for them!

Another montage…..then we get to Edson and Leon, who are an elderly hand balancing act. All I can say is that if I can do this when I am old, it will be a life well lived. This was amazing. The judges enjoy it and Simon thinks they are what the show is all about.

Melissa Areth—She does an act with rats that has a slow start, but finally takes off toward the middle. Simon is less than impressed, but Ellie says this changed her mind about hating rats.

Mackenzie—He is a singer who almost lost his voice due to a vocal hemorrhage. However, he recovered and is willing to prove he is here to stay.  He wows me, the audience and the judges although Jules offers him some advice on how to improve.

RESULTS!
