Q) How do you put together songs, does the music come before the lyrics get pieced together or visa versa?

A) Usually it’s an idea and after that the melody and lyrics come somewhat organically together, but most often I hear melody first and fit the lyrics to the melody.
Q) How does the concept and the vibe for the “10 Times Out of 10” video connect with the theme and message of the song?
A) It was pretty loose and fun the way we decided on the theme. We wanted to portray the love story side of things for sure, but also have a good time with the throw back vibes in the song… So lasers, lights and the director tracked down a guy on craigslist with that sexy 80’s Corvette the day before the shoot. [laughs] It all came together!
Q) What have been fan reactions to the song, what kind of feedback have you been receiving through social media?
A) Fans seem to really like it and connect with it. That for me is so rewarding since this one is so close to my heart. I love knowing other people relate so much.  It’s really cool to hear people say things like, “This is mine and my mans song now.”  That kinda thing makes me beyond happy.
Q) How much hand in the production of your music do you have?
A) It all starts with ideas and music I am inspired by for vibes and to get the ball rolling. From there, producers I work with build and make the tracks and the magic happen. I like to be there for all of it when possible. That’s such a great part of the process, every instrument, every layer that gets added and hearing it all come together is awesome.
Q) Where did the inspiration for the lyrics to song come from?
A) The inspiration for the lyrics is from my life. It’s my about my ‘one’, everything we’ve been through over the years. I wanted to write a song about him and the crazy life that lead us here and how beautiful the ups and downs can be when you look back on your story.

Q) What do you hope fans take away from the messages of your music?
A) I hope it resonates with them. I hope it makes them feel something; something good. I hope they hear the honesty in it and that that can connect with them in their own stories and life.
Q) What do you think the music industry is lacking? What are some of the changes and movements that you’d like to be a part of?
A) I think if there is anything I want more of when I’m out there searching for new music is something new, different and refreshing. I hope to hear more of that come out of the industry if anything. No rules, just honest, beautiful, authentic, great music. A lot of music out there can start to sound so similar, with similar formulas. I always love a good unique curve ball track!
Q) What’s been your biggest inspiration and influence for your music and why?
A) I am inspired by a multitude of music so my biggest influence is that – listening to as much music as I can, new and old, all the time.
Q) What can fans be doing to help promote your music more? Any hints on when the next song will drop and what it will be?
A) Sharing, retweeting, tell yo friends, tell yo mama and stay in touch/message me on social media so I know what you’re loving and liking. That’s the best! I love hearing from you guys. For the next song… I am still on the fence, but it’s all coming soon. Can’t wait!
Q) Is there anything else about your music that you’d like to share?
A) Working away, getting this EP ready to go. I’ll be launching my very first Pledge campaign with some exclusive content I can’t wait to share with you all. Check that out and join me there too!
