Q) What are the recent projects you are working on?

A) I am currently on “Corporate,” which is a dark workplace comedy on Comedy Central.

Q) Please tell us the premise for the film Deadly Influencer.

A) Deadly Influencer is a cautionary tale about relationships that form online through social media. A woman who promises a young budding social media star a much bigger shot at game ends up to be a very dangerous presence.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the film?

A) I loved the message about real, in person relationships truly being what matters and the false premise of internet fame being a potentially dangerous pursuit.

Q) How was Lynn Kessler originally described to you?

A) She’s a loving mom who is torn by wanting her daughter to pursue her talents with fashion and supporting her with that and knowing from experience that the new world where success can be born online is one that offers a lot of false promises and dangerous people.

Q) Was there anything you added to this role that wasn’t in her initial breakdown?

A) Of course, all actors bring what they hope helps tell the story. I thought it was important that Lynn, being a single mom, really has a sweet and close relationship with her daughter because I think it services the terror aspect that any teenager – one who does have a “cool” mom they can talk to and who understands them – can still find themselves in a very scary situation through the internet.

Q) What advice did director Curtis Crawford offer during filming that you took to heart?

A) He was such a supportive enthusiastic director that I am always served well as an actor by that environment.

Q) What were some of your most memorable moments from shooting this movie?

A) I loved shooting the finale- it takes place at a party and it’s quite dramatic!

Q) How did you shake off a long day of filming?

A) I’m love yoga and spent much of my time off at a local yoga studio in Ottawa!

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to seeing how the fans react to it?

A) Definitely! I think like any good horror movie this taps into a fear we all have every day and really explores what could happen in the worst case. In this story, it’s about the interactions we have with strangers on line.

Q) What do you think it is about this movie that will make it a fast fan favorite LMN thriller?

A) I think it’s really gets to heart of that parental fear of the unknown world of online fame and friendship.

Q) You have had such an incredible career. What have been some of your favorite projects to be a part of?

A) I have lived aspects of everything I’ve worked on. My current show, “Corporate,” is a favorite for sure because the comedy is so sharp and the writing is so smart.

I loved being a part of “Mad Men” and will always treasure that experience.

Q) Your role on “House” was intense and amazing. What did you take away from working on the series?

A) How absolutely brilliant Hugh Laurie is.

Q) “Mad Man” and “Covert Affairs” standout as well. Have you kept in touch with anyone from these shows?

A) Yes! When you work closely with people for years and share those experiences of being on a high profile show it really can be quite bonding.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?

A) I’m incredibly lucky to have a career where I have been able to choose projects that people really enjoy. Of course, there have been a few that didn’t catch on, but to share with fans a common love for the work you do is very special. I love meeting people who have a passion for something I’ve been involved in because it instantly bonds us and I’m always touched by the appreciation fans show me for the work. So, I do want to take every opportunity to express gratitude for having supporters out there.

I hope this project in particular surprises them with a healthy dose of suspense.
