This week´s episode starts with Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) meeting someone at an alley. He´s making some sort of delivery or a transaction actually, changing it for information about the painting´s picture on Kate´s phone. Then, the man is murdered in front of Captain Kane. Before he gets hurt, the crows show up to apprehend him. However, that went sideways and it was Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) that had to stop him and refuses to give him up.

At Ryan´s Angelique (Bevin Brue) is listening to Vesper Fairchild’s (Rachel Maddow) podcast in the kitchen while making breakfast. She makes a comment about Batwoman that Ryan takes to heart and tries to subtly defend her. Angelique pays no mind and gives her the breakfast she´s been making. In her words they have been reconnecting the night before. She also has a gift for Ryan, an apology bracelet so they can both wear one. We find out that the drugs that Ryan was busted with were hers and that´s why she went to prison. She leans into kiss her but stops when she spots Rya´s bullet wound and tells her to get it checked out.

Ryan listens to Angelique and goes to Mary´s (Nicole Kang) clinic to get the wound looked at. Mary says is just an infection and gives some antibiotics. She thinks Ryan should take some days before going out as Batwoman, but instead she goes to the Batcave and asks Luke (Camrus Johnson) to get information on the guy she caught. However, Luke is not having much luck.

We go to the crows headquarters. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) and Jacob brought someone that used to be closet to Kate to see if they could get some information out if him. Apparently, he is a part of the Collective and his name is Evan Blake (Lincoln Clauss). He later finds that they are interrogating him rather then looking for help on Kate´s whereabouts. He does not look happy, so he leaves saying that if they want to talk to him again they should do that with his lawyer. Sophie thinks they need to work with Batwoman.

Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is doing a stake out, looking for Ocean (Nathan Owens). She follows him to a hotel and then to a bar, as she keeps having flashbacks of him at the island. She´s trying to get him drunk, but when she comes back to his hotel he surprises her and takes her prisoner. Turns out that Ocean is Safiyah´s (Shivaani Ghai) brother, although not blood related. They don´t remember seeing each other before, but Alice has been to Coryanna and keeps having memories of the two of them together every time they touch. They continue to talk about Coryana and Safiyah, but get interrupted by assassins she sent after him. However, Ocean does not trust Alice and hesitates to untie her. He has no choice though and they team up to beat up those guys and escape them. They both need answers and come to the conclusion that perhaps their memory has been erased or something along those lines.

Sophie goes to the Bat signal to call for Batwoman and tells her that the last time she was on the roof the vibes were different. She´s trying to get her to help look for Kate, but Ryan is not having it. She does not need anyone to tell her how to do her job and does not want to work with the crows. But Sophie says that Kate is the love of her life and begs for her help. All the while Wolf Spider is listening to their conversation. Ryan refuses though and goes to Luke and Mary, but they take Sophie´s side on this one. Luke tells her that the crows murdered his father and still wants to work with them because he wants to find Kate. So, she agrees and takes Sophie and Jacob to the guy she captured, but before he can say anything else he dies in front of them.

Mary is helping Ryan to get ready for an auction as she´s going after the painting that can lead to Kate. She arrives and Evan is at the door, but can not enter because she makes a mistake. Luckily, Angelique is there to help her get in, but not before asking Evan for his preferred pronouns. Ryan makes sure that both of her comms are working, so she checks in with Luke and Sophie. She finds the painting and takes video of it; however, when she goes to the bathroom to put on the Batsuit someone else grabs the painting. It is Wolf Spider. He and Batwoman start fighting for it, but Ryan´s injury makes her miss and she´s clearly not at her 100%. She has to ask Sophie for back up.

The crows are chasing Wolf Spider, but instead they start shooting at him and hit him with the car leaving him on the side with no help. They take the painting and go. Luckily, Batwoman shows up to get him to Mary´s clinic, finding Evan in the suit. He´s not in good shape, but will recover. Ryan is not happy that she trusted the crows as she does not want to keep working for anyone´s approval and is mad that she did not go with her gut.

Ryan goes to Sophie. She´s not happy about the whole crow leaving Evan to die situation. Sophie says that both of them have been fired, but it´s not enough says Ryan. Sophie insists that she´s trying to make a difference; however, their views are very different right now. Ryan tells Sophie that their partnership is over as long as she´s still working as crow security.
