Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I see my sound as something very personal that I always try to make you feel things throughout your listening. Even being a very blanket pop with strong beats and fierce, strong energy I would say it’s quite deep emotional and kinda dark.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) My biggest influences are Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and Amy Lee (Evanescence). I grew up listening to a lot of 80’s classics like Depeche Mode and Tears For Fears and also was (and still am) completely obsessed with my favorite rock bands like Evanescence, Queens Of The Stone Age and Avenged Sevenfold.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Queen of My Mind.”

A) “Queen of My Mind” is a self-empowering song and it’s for sure the most intimate and personal song I’ve ever written. I put my entire heart into this, sharing a real-life experience I had with body shaming. At the end of my modelling career, I was body-shamed and rejected by the modelling industry because my body started to change its shape and size. As a consequence of these several rejections, I lost ten years of a successful career that I bled for… I lost my dreams and with it, I also lost my self-love. I couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror anymore and with all those judgements and rejections I got completely lost. The impact of being massively rejected and body-shamed destroyed me and I ended up having a mental breakdown that encouraged me to start writing “Queen of My Mind.” It gave me the strength to keep going, healing and with love being able to find myself love again. I came back stronger, loving and accepting myself. I decided to share my story to encourage others that might be struggling with any battles within themselves to find their inner strength and stand up for their self-love and self-acceptance to become the queen of their I overcame my inner battles and I found my self-love, so you can also find yours and become the queen of your own mind.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) It’s an open-hearted song telling a real-life personal story. There are no hidden secrets in this song. It’s literally an open book with my deepest fears, feelings, inner battles, and emotions in it. I think that my fans connect a lot to “Queen Of my Mind” because it’s like I’m sitting down with them in my bedroom sharing this dramatic chapter I overcame in my life and for sure many of them are also passing or passed through similar situations on their lives.

Q) Being body shamed was a serious issue for you. What can fans do to be more self-confident?

A) I think the most important thing about Self Confidence is time, practice and patience. Time; to self-heal of things that made you lose your self-love. Practice; this self-love every day and allow yourself to recreate a new you inside of your heart and mind far from any beauty patterns or judgments people made of you. Patience; Be patient and kind to yourself, understand that you need to keep going even in the bad days. We don’t feel 100% every day and it’s okay, just keep moving forward one step at a time and you gonna get there.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My music is where I can freely express what’s inside my heart. All of my songs tell real stories that happened to me in my life at some point or something I’d like to share with others. A bad romance, a fairy tale love, a dramatic lesson that life had to teach me, an overcoming story. I always have a purpose behind my songs. Sound-wise I’d say I like to feel what the song is asking and let it flow. Most of the time I keep listening to a lot of my influences new music to keep me on track.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I love producing and writing my songs. I love being part of the whole process side by side with the team of producers and writers I work in the projects. I like to write the lyrics and toplines always and I always bring some particular sounds and ideas I have in my mind for my songs in the production sessions.

Q) Will there be a full album or an EP coming in the near future?

A) YES!!!! I’m so excited about this! Beginning of next year there’s a full EP coming and possibly my first album till the end of the year. Can’t wait to share it all with you guys.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Festivals are so amazing to perform. They’re my favorite places to be on stage, for sure, because it’s priceless to see your fans and other artists’ fans all together support all acts in such strong energy. It’s simply beautiful.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) My biggest dream is collaborating with Lady Gaga and Demi Lovato. I also would love to have a song with Dua Lipa and Diplo. Love them.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I’m completely addicted to Gaga’s new album Chromatica. It’s so different and unique with so many unexpected sounds and toplines; I’m in love. I also just started listening to my collection of 2000’s pop “hot hits” I have. A musical TBT is never a bad idea.

Q) What were some of your favorite memories from being on “MTV Brazil?”

A) Everything is so special about that time. Being in your home town working on a TV show as your first step in the music industry is quite special. I remember having my fans at the door at the end of the day just to talk to me and give me support after a long day on the set recording, so special! Having this contact with them daily was a dream.

Q) What advice would you give to up and coming musicians?

A) Be brave from day one till the end. Don’t start if you are gonna give up in the middle of the way. Music is the best thing you can have in your life, but it’s one of the hardest dreams to pursue. You will have to give your heart, soul and life to it. And, of course, whenever you do it you can’t give up after all this effort, right? So, it will be tough, but you can do it! If you believe in it, nothing is impossible.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) On social media, I can have a daily contact with my fans and share my life with them. I love having them side by side with me and I think it is one of the most important things for me, having them this close every day.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you so much for existing in my life. Everything I do it’s thinking about you guys and for you guys. Believe me, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you guys. Thank you so much. Love you all <3
