The episode opens with a song and dance routine at Christina’s (Maribeth Monroe) office. It is actually a fantasy scene, which is interrupted when she is brought back to life by Jared (Adhir Kalyan) from Customer Relations. He compliments her work and memos.

She is flattered, especially when he asks for creative advice. This leads to her becoming his mentor, despite getting his name wrong. After he leaves, she decides to write another memo while chair dancing, only to get hurt.

That night Abishola (Folake Olowofoyeku), Kemi (Gina Yashere) and Gloria (Vernee Watson) are in the hot tub, complimenting Bob’s (Billy Gardell) cooking and cocktail skills. They also love that he gave them lavender scented towels and makes his own cleaning products. He loves this and the fact that he has all this free time to do such things.

The women begin to gossip, but Bob joins them interrupting the story by telling it instead of Abishola. The women seem to prefer how he tells it, annoying Abishola.

Christina is at dinner alone and making a fool of herself when Jared asks to join her. They talk about how she overcame everything to work at the company, leading to them bonding and him asking her to spend the night.

Later on Abishola tells Bob she needs some space, so he agrees and ends up making a fishing date with Tunde (Barry Shabaka Henley). Olu (Shola Adewusi) wonders what is going on, so Tunde explains that Bob’s marriage is in trouble, so he gets to go fishing.

The next morning Jared and Christina wake up together. She freaks out and he says she is a good mentor that taught him a lot of things last night. He then invites her to stay for his mom’s pancakes.

Bob and Tunde are fishing when he vents about Abishola giving him a hard time. Tunde struggles with fishing and tells Bob he might have made a mistake by not working. He explains that in their culture things are different, but Bob wants her to know he isn’t lazy. He just wants to take care of her. He wants to leave and tell her, but the boat malfunctions.

Christina is at work when HR calls, saying Jared filed a complaint. She confronts him about this and he says he took her advice to do whatever it takes to get ahead. She says the only good thing about hooking up with him was his mom’s pancakes.

She ends up getting fired and drunkenly goes to the hospital to tell Abishola. There she has a meltdown, which Gloria walks in on, wondering what is happening.

Bob and Tunde realize the boat is out of gas, The two of them end up bonding and Tunde makes Bob realize he should go back to work. He then finds gas to get them home.

Abishola, Kemi and Gloria take care of Christina, who is still breaking down. They help her see that things will get better when Dottie (Christine Ebersole) comes by, causing Christina to freak out even more. However, Dottie brings her coffee and blankets and tells her she is on her side. They hug it out as Dottie wonders if Christina used protection…and the episode comes to a close.
