The episode starts with a briefing from Terry (Terry Crews) as there was a murder this morning, but  he is soon interrupted by Jake (Andy Samberg) saying that´s the work of Johnny Franzia – his white whale. Franzia has been on a murder spree for the last ten years. Holt (Andre Braugher) ends his dream by taking him off the case because he and Amy (Melissa Fumero) both requested less work to focus on child care. Santiago also has a big presentation this week, a pilot program to reimagine how uniformed officers are deployed that they are trying to get funded.

Because of his situation with Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson) it seems Holt is moving in with Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz). Jake and Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) go investigate the crime scene of the murder and it does turn out to be Johnny Franzia. He leaves messages for Jake on a deck of cards. Back at the precinct Terry tells Amy that there are several other groups presenting reform proposals to One Police Plaza, but only one will get funding. He gives her the list of names and the only apparent threat is Austin Grant (Christopher Wolfe). They get interrupted by Jake and when Amy sees him she asks what he´s doing there since he´s supposed to be getting Mac from day care. However, Jake thought Amy was the one doing that. Childcare is turning out to be a handful, but they decide to work as a team when no one´s available watch him. Unfortunately, the are also dealing with a lice outbreak that eventually gets them. They decide to put maple syrup on their heads to kill the lice and then take Mac to work.

Rosa and Holt living together is also a struggle since he won´t stop talking about Kevin. So, Rosa suggests they get drunk, which ends up with the Captain sending Kevin a digital phallus portrait – a/k/a a dick pic. Jake and Amy take babysitter interviews at the precinct, but everyone´s awful so they have to turn to the only person that is not working – Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller). That´s over quickly when he stubs his toe on an unpadded corner and has to go to the hospital. This makes Jake miss part of the investigation Charles is doing. When he goes back to work there´s someone already in the interrogation room waiting for him.

Charles and Jake are able to figure out from talking with Franzia that he has been listening into their conversation through a lion toy in Mac’s stroller. It seems Franzia was one of the babysitter interviewees!

Meanwhile, Kevin just reads his email once a day, so Rosa and Holt have time to go and delete the picture he sent him before he sees it. Holt is able to do that, but they´re busted by Cheddar and Kevin. Holt pretends to look for a book, but Kevin looks disappointed. Amy´s presentation is moved and she has to go immediately. Terry is able to wet Austin’s pants, which makes him less competition for Amy.

Jake is at home with Mac and gets to see him pull himself up. Amy is excited that her proposal won. Both were worried about telling each other though for fear of rubbing their accomplishments in each other’s faces.
