The episode starts at the Boyle´s farm. Everyone is starting their day saying good day and I love you. Cousin Tommy (Galen Howard), Cousin Sam Boyle (Christopher Gehrman), Cousin Becca (Frederick Koehler), until they get to their grandfather (Hal Alpert) and he has died. Charles (Joe Lo Truglio) is going to the funeral with Jake (Andy Samberg) and Terry (Terry Crews) as company because they know he´s not handling it great. For starters he´s bringing a coffin. Jake is super bored already with 78 days of suspension while Terry doesn´t want to get tricked into falling down the stairs for Tik Tok by his daughters at home.

Inside the precinct Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) brings Holt (Andre Braugher) the lunch he forgot. Amy (Melissa Fumero) didn´t know he has still staying at Rosa´s and perhaps couple´s counseling was going well with Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson), but apparently it has turned a bit competitive there. Amy suggests a big romantic gesture, but Rosa goes opposite and thinks love is an illusion and Holt should start dating. To everyone´s surprise, he´s in. Rosa is helping Holt set up a dating profile, but she soon tells Amy that is a part of her plan to bring him and Kevin together. Once he goes on a date and sees how awful and difficult it is out there he will see how perfect he and Kevin are for each other. Amy´s in.

The guys arrive at the Boyle´s farm greeted by Sam. He immediately informs them that they cannot find the will. Jake quickly jumps on the crime ship because he finds the situation very suspicious. Boyle is preparing his eulogy but is interrupted by Jake because he already has a whole theory which includes poison as the cause of death. He immediately points to Lyndon (Gregg Binkley), so they start to interrogate him about that night. With enough information Jake says he just solved the case. So, he confronts Lyndon with the main clue being that he didn´t say “I love you” to his grandfather – only goodnight. Lyndon admits to fighting with him, but did not do anything to the will. He went to get their grandmother’s dough in a jar that can only be opened by the one true Boyle. This leads them to a box of poison with a hair on it, so they send it to the lab to get it tested. When they get the results back Jake sees that all Boyles are related except for one: Charles. Jake and Terry agree to not tell him.

Back at the precinct Rosa is still trying to set up Holt´s profile. Amy suggests to look at the whole thing as a chess match. Finally he chooses someone to meet at Shaw´s Bar. They sit down in a booth. Rosa and Amy are being fooled by Holt for meddling in his love life as they know he was never going date someone else. He just wanted to mess with them. They apologize to Holt for interfering. Rosa tells him he should tell Kevin how he feels. It´s raining outside so it could be very romantic. They hear someone yelling Raymond outside and it´s Kevin calling for him! Holt comes outside and meets him. They kiss under the rain while Amy and Rosa stare at them, which is a little weird but then he see Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) next to them saying what we´re all thinking: it´s beautiful.

At the Boyle farm Jake informs everyone that their grandfather´s death was an accident. He drank poisoned milk from one of the nutria and he´s also forced to tell Boyle that he´s not related to his family. That is when another revelation comes from Jake. Sam was jealous of Charles for being chosen to give the eulogy and had always suspected he was not one of them. But this doesn´t make Charles happy since he´s still not a Boyle. They only thing that could help is if he can open the jar with the dough in it, which he does, becoming the one true Boyle.
