Brooklyn Nine-Nine – The Lake House

The episode starts with the gang meeting at Shaw´s. Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) asks what´s the emergency and Jake (Andy Samberg) says that they need to talk about Captain Holt´s (Andre Braugher) love life and need to help him get back together with Kevin (Marc Evan Jackson). Although Amy (Melissa Fumero) insists that they shouldn´t get involved, Terry (Terry Crews) suggests they can go to Holt´s lake house instead. They´re getting ready to go and Rosa wants to make sure that she times get edibles so they kick in right on time when they arrive.

Something else big is happening. It´s Mac´s first time away from home with Jake and Amy and apparently he´s a terrible sleeper as she´s telling Charles (Joe Lo Truglio), which he sees as an invitation to help which can only go badly. Inside the lake house Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) asks Holt for the Wi-Fi network because he needs to facetime with Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), but that won´t happen because there´s no internet. So, the Captain gives the team a tour of the house instead with too many sitting rooms, with a very enthusiastic Jake. But Terry notices it and asks him what he´s up to. That’s when Kevin walks in to the house. It’s the perfect timing for Rosa´s edibles to have kicked in.

Terry wants in on Jake´s plan but won´t support it publicly because he wants the credit and not be a part of the scheme if it fails. Anyway, Jake´s plan is going, very much involving Holt and Kevin changing their clothes and walking into a romantic picnic where they go for a bird watching walk.  However, it backfires and they end up figuring it out. While Amy´s having trouble getting Mac to sleep she asks Boyle for help and he ends up locking baby Mac inside the room. Rosa´s way too high for it and tries to avoid Amy by hanging out with Scully and his chip contest but just ends up telling her everything once she sees her. Amy is pissed and breaks down the room door to get Mac out of it. Jake thinks his plan worked and that Raymond and Kevin are getting back together, but the Captain comes back and tells the squad that Kevin is leaving immediately. However, Jake figures out that he actually wanted to stay and just didn´t know how Raymond felt. So, he convinces him to go for it. Holt calls Kevin and tells him he still has feelings for him. Kevin says he feels the same and they agree to go for couple’s counseling.
