Q) What is new this season on “Mani” and with your character Chris?

A) When her wish-upon-a-star moment goes awry, Brittany (Tzunamy Ortiz), a 13-year-old aspiring popstar, swaps bodies with her summer school teacher, Mani (Lawrence Wayne Curry). Together, this mixed-up pair will have to learn to work together and walk a mile in one another’s shoes—or risk losing their true selves forever. My character Chris also body swaps with the classroom snake Diablo!

Q) What did you add to your role that wasn’t in the initial breakdown?

A) I was cast as Chris on Mani Season 1. So, I feel like I have grown with the character and have been lucky to add a bit of my personality to him throughout the seasons. Season 6, especially, I get to really transform and draw from method acting.

Q) What keeps challenging you about portraying Chris?

A) With each season of “Mani” comes new storylines. I love what the writers write for Chris, especially this season as I get to use my love and skill for physical comedy.

Q) What have been some standout episodes for you from Season 6?

A) So far, the first episode of Season 6! It’s awesome to see the Freaky Friday body swapping. Also, later in the season there are several cool things that happen, but I can’t talk about what happens yet!! Everyone will have to watch and see!!

Q) Is the cast as close off screen as they are on screen?

A) Yes! We have so much fun on and off screen. We have been meeting up at Universal Studios and hanging out together. This week we went to Sugar Factory and this really cool VR place.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan feedback have you been receiving to Season 6?

A) BratTV and Mani fans are awesome!! I spend time everyday responding back to fan messages. They are so supportive and really mean the world to me. I read every single message and comment. I also love the fan edits that are made.

Q) Who would you love to see guest star on the series?

A) That is a great question and the first time I have been asked this!! Hmmm. I have to say Raven Symone. I love her acting and her energy would be perfect for Mani.

Q) What do you think it is about “Mani” that has made it such a fan favorite series?

A) “Mani” is super fun to film, so I think fans can tell that when they watch. Also, many of the characters have been on “Mani” since the first season. Fans are really interested in following the storylines of their favorite characters season after season.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you do?

A) Thank you so much for supporting me!! It really means the world to me. Remember to Be Awesome Be You!!
