Camryn Quinlan – Ain’t No Second Chance

Q) How would you describe your sound?
A) My sound is a pop soul type of tone.
Q) Who are some of your musical influences?
A) Some of my musical influencers would definitely be Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Tyler the Creator and a lot of the artists on the radio today.
Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Ain’t No Second Chance.”
A) The story behind “Ain’t No Second Chance” is about past friendships and relationships that didn’t really work out for me.
Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?
A) I think the fans connect to the story of the song because a lot of people can relate to it.
Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?
A) I haven’t made a video yet, but the story would involve some kind of relationship not working out.
Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?
A) My songwriting process changes a lot. Sometimes my lyrics come first and then I will have music behind it and sometimes I will have music behind the lyrics first.
Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?
A) I’m very involved with how I want the music to sound. I have a good team of producers.
Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming soon?
A) Yes, definitely! I am in the studio as much as I can be.
Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?
A) I don’t really have a favorite place to perform because I like trying new things, but I really loved when I got to sing in Nashville in a bunch of cool places.
Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?
A) I would love to collaborate with Ariana Grande because she is just an amazing artist.
Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?
A) Right now, I am currently listening to a lot of songs on the Free Spirit album by Khalid because I really love his voice and what his songs are about.
Q) We loved seeing you perform with Acapop! KIDS! What were some of your favorite songs to sing with them?
A) My favorite song that I’ve sang with Acapop! KIDS has got to be “Breathin” by Ariana Grande.
Q) What did you personally take away from your time working with this group?
A) I learned so much about singing and blending with other singers and making a song sound amazing acapella.
Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?
A) It is so important because it is a quick and efficient way to connect with people who you wouldn’t regularly meet.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?
A) I would like to say thank you so much for listening to my music and supporting me, it means so much!
