Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe my sound as indie-pop with electronic elements.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I love Broods, LAUV, Halsey and Tove Lo.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “There With You Baby.”

A) “There With You Baby” is about knowing a relationship may be wrong with you but taking the leap and going for it anyway.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) It’s light-hearted, it feels good to listen to and it puts you in a good mood! I think sometimes music can have the power to make people feel lighter, and that’s really important.

Q) does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) Since we made the video in quarantine, it doesn’t have much to do with the actual song when it comes to the story. We were just trying to come up with something that was interesting and creative that we could film without being in person. But I love the idea behind it and how it turned out!

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I like to do both at the same time! I’ll create a vibe in the studio with a producer and from there I can start writing the melody and lyrics.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I co-produce most of my music. I tell the producers the sounds I like and when I envision instruments coming in and out.

Q) How do you shake off after a long day in the studio?

A) Tequila! Or a bath. Or cuddling my dog. Or all three!

Q) What are some themes you will be exploring on your upcoming EP?

A) Some people have these bigger than life EP concepts, but my music is just who I am. It’s simple. The EP explores my emotions, the loss of relationships and sees me just trying to navigate life in my 20s and how weird it all is.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I love performing in Philly since I’m from there. I also love playing Mercy Lounge in Nashville — I had my first show there 5 years ago!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Pharrell!

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I love listening to The Band Camino. They just sound so fresh and honest.

Q) How and why is social media an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I’ve actually been taking a lot more time off social media lately, but I do think that it’s important to have. Social media makes it easier than ever to connect with fans and have them being a part of your daily life and vice versa.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I’d love to thank them for always following along no matter what! [smiles]
