Q) Please tell us where we pick up in the “Chucky” franchise with the TV series.

A) The series is picking up where Cult of Chucky left off in 2017. It is a direct continuation of the seven films in the franchise. It brings back all of the fan favorites: Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, a paraplegic woman who (since the events of Cult of Chucky) has been possessed by Chucky. Jennifer Tilly is Tiffany Valentine, Chucky’s friend and partner in crime who possessed a fictionalized Jennifer Tilly. Christine Elise is Kyle, Andy’s foster sister, Alex Vincent is Andy Barclay, Chucky’s enemy, who has been tormented by him since 1988. The “Chucky” TV series also introduces the audience to a new set of teenage characters Jake, Devon, Junior, Lexy, as well as their parents. My character, Caroline Cross, is Lexy’s younger sister.

Q) What was your audition like for the role of Caroline Cross?

A) This audition was a self-tape. I find self-tapes a bit challenging since you cannot really showcase your personality.

Q) How was the role initially described to you?

A) The role was described as someone who is very shy and does not like social interactions. This is actually the opposite of who I am in real life as I am very outgoing and very expressive. It was a bit of a challenge on how to portray that character. I reached out to my family and friends for help on how to be like Caroline.

Q) This is such a scary series. Were you nervous at all about starring in a show based on a horror film?

A) Not at all. I love horror movies. Halloween is actually my favorite holiday. Me and my little sister are always searching for cool new horror shows on TV.

Q) There are a lot of intense episodes. What were some of your favorite scenes or episodes to film? What were some of your favorite moments from filming the show?

A) My favorite scenes were the ones where I got to interact with Chucky. My favorite scene was where I got to play video games with Chucky. It was really amazing being able to talk to Chucky and watch how he comes to life. I also really liked that Caroline was not afraid of Chucky and they had real conversations.

Q) How did you shake off a long day of shooting for the series?

A) I have two sisters that would wait for me to come home and play.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan response have you been receiving to “Chucky?”

A) The response has been very positive. The character is perceived to have limited social abilities and it has helped bring awareness to kids who suffer from such challenges.

Q) What does it mean to you to be a part of such an iconic horror franchise?

A) It was extremely special and memorable experience. The franchise is over thirty years old so Chucky was a favorite doll even for my parents growing up. I am now part of the Chucky family forever.

Q) What are the other projects you have been busy working on?

A) I just got back from filming a movie in Greece with both my older sister and the amazing Sarah Drew. It was such a surreal experience that I will never forget and the first time I got to work with my sister.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the work you do?

A) I hope my work helps tell stories that can make a positive impact in somebody’s life and make people smile (or cry). I am thankful for the people who like and appreciate my work.
