Chanel Ryan – Kitty Bungalow’s Catstravaganza
By: Taylor Gates
Q) How did you get involved in this organization and why do you think it’s so important?
A) The work they do is instrumental. I do a ton of animal rescue and to have an organization that helps get homeless cats off the streets is so important. They helped us get four cats off the street. I do a lot of fostering, but there are some times when we’re just not able to. They feed feral colonies, they do TNR—I just can’t say enough good things about them. One of the things I like about them is when you donate to Kitty Bungalow, it’s really going to a great cause. It’s really going to save the animals. Not all the charities are like that.
Q) What do you hope people take away from this event?
A) Always the importance of spaying and neutering your animals. I think so many people, especially men, think they’re doing their pet a disservice. You need to spay and neuter your pet! It’s going to live a longer and healthier life and it’ll be less likely to fight, to spray in your house, to run away—it’s just better overall. Also, the amount of homeless animals out there is devastating. I think everybody needs to jump on the bandwagon and be part of the solution.
Q) What are you most looking forward to with the performances?
A) All of it! It’s going to be good night. We have third row seats, so I’m super excited. It’s going to be a fun, campy night of kitty cat theatre.
