Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I feel like I’m kind of a ratchet Taylor Swift. [laughs] But in all seriousness, I feel like I love super melodic melodies but also love thick 808s!!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) WOW! Man, I love so many artists and creatives it hurts, but I would say my top five are Max Martin, Gwen Stefani, Britney Spears, Taylor Swift and Kanye West.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “07 Britney.”

A) I wrote this song during a dark time of my life… I definitely felt like I was isolated and living for everybody else. I hit a point where I just didn’t care anymore and I wanted to take my confidence back and embrace the fact that even though mentally I was feeling super low, everything was going to be okay one day. Hollywood is a toxic city sometimes and it definitely can make you doubt yourself a ton, but Britney [Spears] is a big reason I even had the strength to follow my dreams. And so every time I get into that headspace, I remind myself that if she can push through anything I have to keep going until I can positively bring light into other peoples’ lives.

Q) How did iconic performer Britney Spears inspire the song?

A) She has always been my #1 icon because her music is my favorite, her performances are iconic and also her visuals are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Whenever I feel like I’m not enough, I always remind myself that Britney would want me to keep my strength and keep pushing for my dreams.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think we all struggle with trying to be a version of ourselves that everybody else around us will like, even if it means impressing people we know deep down aren’t good for us. We keep how we truly feel inside and sometimes tend to lose our minds because we weren’t honest with ourselves. I want to encourage my fans to push through that embrace who they truly are through the madness.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It varies. Sometimes I sit down and start with interesting chords and other times literally just while walking around a grocery store and I hear an idea in my head! My favorite songs always start in the shower usually. [laughs]

Q) What is the role you play in the production of your music?

A) I can do a whole song, sometimes with a few of my fav co-producers <3 or just alone in my room. [laughs] I def like to write the song before producing it though.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes!! There are so many songs I’m so anxious to share with everyone!!! Hopefully I can drop some singles, then maybe an EP and then an album…[smiles] It’s been two years of making my project and I’m so happy to be putting stuff out.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Honestly, just on my front lawn for my neighbors or in small cafes in SF. Of course, I dream of playing all the big venues one day and that seems incredible, but I think the smaller places also touch my heart in a different way for sure. I’m so excited to start touring once the world is safe again and experience it for the first time. <3

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) That’s the hardest question in the world!!! There are so many people… I think my number one is Max Martin. My songwriting dad. I stan him! Artist wise, I’d love to do a song with Taylor and Kanye. Taylor is such a fantastic writer and so is Kanye and Kanye’s production is SO timeless.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I’m listening to Conan Gray! I love his melodies and lyrics and how his songs are upbeat and fun but still sad. They are full of lots of different emotions.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It’s so important because my fans are honestly my favorite people ever. Talking to them is so much fun and we literally become friends and without social media we wouldn’t be able to connect. I think it’s also so cool we can meet people from all around the world who have similar interests and just at the click of button become friends!!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I want to say thank you guys so much I love you!!! Seriously, I’m so grateful that you guys listen to my music I can’t believe its real. <3 Y’all are the best angels xoxoxo
