Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Alternative Pop

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Ethel cain, Sevdaliza, 070 Shake, SZA, Banks

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Toxic Woman.”

A) I wrote this song about depression. Sometimes my sadness overpowers every part of my being and I’m stuck in a web of eternal negativity. I wrote this song about these fucked up times.

Q) This was a song dedicated to yourself, but what do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I believe it’s only when we feel down that we really truthfully hear music’s messages. I think that applies to this song too. Anyone who’s experienced any sort of deep sorrow in their life will feel connected to this song. I’m hoping it’ll bring some sort of comfort.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I like to get inspired as much as I can before the session. I believe the hours even days before the session set the intentions for it. I also think it’s important not to plan too, too much beforehand because the spontaneity of the moment is important creatively wise.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I like to create my demos and then bring then to a producer afterwards so he can take care of the production aspect of my tracks.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Labrinth.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I have been listening to a lot of Afro beat. It’s freezing here in Montreal, and I am deeply in need of a little warmth music wise. “With emotions” by Complex Ricki has been on repeat.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) That they should not see their pain as a weakness, but rather as an opportunity to grow into an elevated version of themselves.
