Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) RnB, upbeat sometimes and chill others. [laughs]

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Post Malone, The Weeknd

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “FrFr.”

A) It’s about wondering if this is actually gonna happen and if it’s “Fr.”

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) People can relate to this because when you’re really into someone and you throw it out there, you need to know if they feel the same way back.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video is super fun and relaxed and I think it really represents the message of the song – just hanging out with “that” person and being with them

Q) What inspired you to create a “FrFr” fan art challenge?

A) A lot of my fans create a tone of fan art so I thought it would be a super cool idea if they did that same thing but inspired by my new song and video!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) When I’m writing I usually just need to be somewhere quiet and be able to write stuff down on my phone or on a piece of paper constantly and have an idea of what the beat/ song that I’m working with is.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) In the studio, my goal is to lay down the best vocal tracks that I possibly can. Sometimes I will record a line twenty times before I’m happy with it.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Christian Lalama performance?

A) A super good time. [laughs] Energy, movement, getting hype, surprises 😉

Q) Will there be a full EP or album coming in the near future?

A) Definitely, currently in the making

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Love preforming in LA and back home because it’s amazing to see that I have fans in different parts of the world and, of course, seeing everyone who supports me back home.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) It would be dope to collab with a rapper such as Lil Uzi, Yachty, Gunna, etc.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Listening to a ton of rap and RnB right now such as Juice WRLD and Tory Lanez because they always have songs you can party to or just chill with when you want to feel relaxed.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media allows me to be very connected with my fans, interact with them, show them my appreciation and it’s one of the reasons I have the opportunities I currently have today.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you all so much, super grateful, and there’s some big things coming so stay tuned! [wink]
