Q) You mix alt-rock with hip-hop/rap. So, how would you describe your sound?

A) I don’t really think I have a sound to be honest. I guess you could say experimental, but I always look for different ways to use my voice on whatever beat I feel sounds good regardless of the genre.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Kurt Cobain, Corey Taylor, Lil Wayne, Denzel Curry, Pouya, etc.

Q) You had quite a tumultuous past. How did that shape you as a person and as an artist?

A) It’s definitely built me up to feel more empathy for others because everyone handles and reacts to situations differently and also to endure a lot more mentally and physically which is needed as an artist because you can’t worry about what everyone thinks of you. It’s also allowed me to be more vulnerable and emotional through my music.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Falling Down.”

A) The song is about an ex-girlfriend of mine who claimed she loved me and just wanted me to be happy even though her actions of trying to trap me in a relationship were contradictory. I thought she was the one I would spend my life with, but after it was all said and done it was just another failed relationship.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I believe they connect to the fact that everyone’s felt love for someone before whether in a positive or negative way and can relate to that love always coming back around and hurting them in the end over and over again.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video doesn’t really correlate too well with the video. The only relative part is there’s two people trying to make it seem like they’re happy together but they’re really trying to hurt the other.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Majority of the time, yes. Sometimes I’ll write lyrics down without music as a poem or hum a melody and record it on a voice note. Most of the time me and my producers make a beat then I try to freestyle lyrics or melodies on a couple passes through the song and then I’ll fill out all the melodies with lyrics.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I’ve played some instruments on my songs before but I’m not that good so it’s hit or miss, but I always like to conduct a beat with my opinions on how it should sound and steer the producers into the direction of what’s on my mind.

Q) I know in 2023 you released the EP The Walls Have Eyes, but with the release of “Falling Down,” will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Yes, I’m working on an album focused on the Indie/Alternative/Pop sound from “Falling Down.”

Q) You’re out on tour playing UK and EU shows at the moment. Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) My favorite places to perform at the moment are Anaheim (my hometown), Denver, Salt Lake City, Detroit, Cologne and London. The crowds there are always insane with the best energy.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) That’s a big list for me, but my Top 3 right now would probably be Dominic Fike, Denzel Curry and Bakar.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now I’m listening to a lot of Dominic Fike, The Weeknd and Bakar. They’re just super creative and make music off raw talent and emotion.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It helps me connect deeper to my followers and supporters because I can only relate to them and help them out so much through a song they’re listening to.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say thank you for sticking by me with all your love and support. I wouldn’t be anything without you guys. You guys saved me from a lot of heartache knowing you guys relate to my music and I’m not alone with these thoughts in my head. You guys mean the world to me. I love you.
