Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) I’m set to star in my first indie horror film that I’ll be shooting that in October. The movie is about a guy who is very overweight. He and his girlfriend have plans to do charity work in Africa, but they break up and he ends up still going to complete the missions. He comes back two years later to go to a graduation party of friends from college and it turns out that his ex-girlfriend is engaged and pregnant. Then, an evil spirit comes and haunts this house. It’s about me finding where the spirit came from and how do I tame it.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the film?

A) I love the character because he’s always calculating and on his toes. He’s a great guy. I’m very excited to star in it and have the movie based around me because I want to show studios that you can trust me to be a leading man and you’ll get results. I really practice my leadership skills on set. I want to be the person who brings everyone’s energy up around me and helps make everything better.

Q) You have done acting and modeling. Is there anything else you would like to try your hand at?

A) Absolutely! I’m actually a producer on “The Thunderers” and very excited to help produce that. Directing and producing are also in the very near future. I also love, of course, charity work. I’m highly involved with charities and am going to be starting my own with a best friend of mine, TJ Carter. It’s called YMA and that stands for “You’re Not Alone.” It’s for single mothers and we are going to help them out because we both have single mothers.

Q)  You have become a fan favorite on “Teen Wolf.” Were you shocked by the speed at which you have become so appreciated?

A) Yeah! I think in any business you never know how things are going to go. You have the best intentions to work the hardest you can and you just pray for the best. I’m completely overwhelmed with gratitude. It’s a dream come true to get a fan response like that. There is nothing like it. What more could one ask for, really?

Q) Your character has had quite a development this past season, especially with his sexuality. How has it been to portray?

A) I think it is really cool. It’s extremely interesting. I think it is a relevant topic right now. I’m excited to be a part of it because there are a lot of kids out there who don’t quite know what they are yet. Are they into guys, girls or what have you? They don’t have a lot of characters on TV who are the cool guy with tattoos and also questioning their sexuality. I think it’s cool that Jeff Davis is helping to break labels and stereotypes.

Q) What kind of feedback have you received from fans about your character?

A) A lot of people love it! They love it and it helps them be more comfotable. It’s like seeing their idol and hero express their vulnerable side because that can be delicate subject. It shouldn’t have to be, but where we are at it can still be a little bit delicate. The fans definitely feel more empowered and secure with themselves, more confident. It’s been a real joy to watch that.

Q) Will we learn more about Brett’s backstory or previous life in the coming season?

A) I’d love to explore that! As far as what is going to go down, your guess is as good as mine. They keep everything hidden!

Q) What is your favorite aspect of playing Brett?

A) I love the fact that he is a loyal werewolf. There has been a lot of trickery in this season. Brett is never one to try to join anyone’s pack. I think he is the real deal. He is an honest, strong character. I think it is really cool to play that. Of course, I also love the action. He has taken some hits!

Q) Do you do your own stunts for the show?

A) I’ve done all of my own stunts and I love doing that. I think it is going to help to propel me into more action starring roles. I get some really good training on “Teen Wolf” for other stuff.

Q) Will we be seeing Brett have a loyalty to a pack – maybe loyal to Scott after he helped save him?

A) That is very, very possible.

Q) What have been some of your favorite scenes to film?

A) I loved the one where Brett gets shot with an arrow and is giving his whole heart and soul to save his sister and Laura (Haley Roe Murphy). Brett came into the season with his reasons as to why he has to do what he has to do. So, you got to see a real vulnerable side to Brett. I also loved when Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Brett had a moment in the locker room. That is the episode where Brett was helping Liam control his powers. I think it’s really interesting when two people can start on the opposite sides of the spectrum and come together in the middle to help each other. I think that was really cool.

Q) Was there anything you have added to your role that wasn’t originally scripted for you?

A) Actually, I feel like a lot! Jeff likes to base his characters on who the person is in real life. I feel like I bring a lot of elements to Brett. Jeff got to know me and I like to help everyone around me. I’m a loyal person and I fight hard for the ones I love. I think with Jeff getting to know me he added those traits to Brett as well. He added that loyalty and trying to be that voice of reason when needed.

Q) You do a lot of charity work, including “Cody Take Me to Prom.” Why is it so important for you to to give back to so many different communities?

A) I want my actions to inspire others to be great leaders as well. I want to set an example. And you have to be consistent. You have to let them know that the real swaggy/cool thing to do is to change someone’s life. To personally touch someone is priceless. There needs to be more of that and I want to keep doing it to inspire other kids to do it. As a role model and as a public figure, people watch your every move and action and subconsciously they mimic you. You need to make sure that with great power comes great responsibility and with that responsibility I feel you need to be a good role model. Also, it makes you feel like a million bucks! People want to feel needed at the end of the day. People like to be appreciated and that makes you feel good, too.

Q) Is there anything else you want us to be sure we share with your fans?

A) I love to cook and one day I plan to do a barbeque for fans. I’m going to do a meet and greet with a barbeque for fans.
