Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I think my sound would best be described as pop with more truth behind all of the lyrics.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Shawn Mendes, John Mayer, Jake Scott

Q) Talk about the story behind your song “So Crazy.”

A) The story behind “So Crazy” is one I feel everyone can relate to. Before heading into the studio, I got off the phone with a friend whom had been struggling with ways trying to get out of the friend zone with this girl. He was always her shoulder to cry on about other guys and he had finally had enough.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think it’s the fact that everyone has either known someone or been the one in this situation.

Q) How will the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) We have a few ideas, but I don’t want to give anything away. Hoping that we will be able to shoot videos again soon.

Q) What were some challenges you faced while creating your new song “Picture?”

A) When writing “Picture,” a challenge I found was trying to put into words the hurt I was feeling but at the same time show that the song was not a blame game. Relationships are 50/50.

Q) What is it about this song that makes it so significant/special to you?

A) It was a way for me to vent and cope after going through a breakup. Instead of sulking at that very moment – I was able to create.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My songwriting process is rather funny, I tend to find melody’s first using random, sometimes dumb lyrics. Once I find melodies, I then use life experiences to fill in the blanks.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) It all depends on the song. For some songs such as “Lonely,” I played all of the guitar myself and worked with JConn to produce it out. I think collaboration is how some of the best songs are made. I usually let the producers work their magic as everyone brings something unique and that’s what makes these songs special.

Q) How does the current state of our country effect the release of your upcoming debut EP?

A) These are for sure crazy times. My EP was originally set for May but we are looking towards this summer.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) On the last tour I played at some amazing venues. I have to say Chicago and L.A were the best. The fans were so loud in those places and it was such an amazing experience being able to see people from a screen translate to reality. That being said, D.C. and NYC hold a special place in my heart as they are two places where my music has really come together.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I think someone whom I would love to write and release a song with would be Chelsea Cutler. Her sound is amazing. I love everything she stands for.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) At the moment I’ve been blasting CALM By 5 Seconds of Summer. I love the direction they are headed in.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It’s so important as it’s a window into the lives of the people that allow me to live my dream. It allows me to get their opinions and talk to them daily.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you. I can’t wait for everyone to hear my new music. This next phase is a true representation of me as a person and what I’ve been going through.
