Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My sound is like music pizza – diverse and universally appealing, where anyone can find a slice they love. It’s a fusion of my African roots with contemporary global influences, blending Afrobeat with elements of R&B and pop, creating a rhythm that’s both unique and familiar. It’s about making music that resonates with a wide audience, much like how everyone can enjoy a piece of pizza.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I’m deeply influenced by a range of diverse artists – Asa’s soulful voice and storytelling, John Mayer’s exceptional guitar skills and lyrical prowess, B.B. King’s legendary blues influence, Louis Armstrong’s jazz mastery and Ebenezer Obey’s unique Afrobeat style all play a role in shaping my musical identity.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Paradise.”

A) “Paradise” is a song about finding joy and peace in the midst of chaos. Whether it’s a personal journey or a collective experience, it speaks to the idea of finding one’s own paradise, a theme that resonates with many.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think fans connect with “Paradise” because of its universal message of hope and happiness. The melody and lyrics come together to create a feeling of escape and joy, something we all seek in our lives.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) Currently, there’s only a lyric video for “Paradise.” It focuses on the song’s lyrics, letting listeners connect deeply with the words. An official music video isn’t available yet, but the lyric video serves to highlight the song’s message and storytelling aspect.

Q) We have seen on your social media show how you “cook your beats,” but what is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My songwriting process is quite organic. Sometimes it starts with just playing my guitar, finding a melody or a chord progression that speaks to me. Other times, it’s a beat or a lyrical idea that ignites the creative process. Whether it starts with the music or the words, I let the creativity flow naturally.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I’m very involved in the production of my music. I create beats, write, sing and produce. While I handle a lot of the production work, I’m also open to collaborating with a few trusted engineers, keeping my mind as free as water.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I’m excited to share that I plan to drop an EP in the nearest future. Stay tuned for this release, as it’s something I’ve been passionately working on and can’t wait for my fans to hear.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collaborate with John Mayer and Craneo. John Mayer’s exceptional guitar skills and lyrical prowess have always inspired me, and working with him would be a dream come true. Collaborating with Craneo would be amazing too, as I admire his unique approach to music.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now, I’m really into Craneo. I love how he explores and experiments with lofi sounds, creating different genres around it. Lofi is one of my favorite genres at the moment, and I find Craneo’s approach really innovative and captivating. His music resonates with me, and I’m always excited to hear what he comes up with next.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is a vital tool for connecting with my fans. It allows me to share my music, my thoughts and my journey in a direct and personal way. It’s not just about promotion; it’s about building a community and a connection with those who support my music.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) To all my fans and supporters, I am deeply grateful for your love and support. It’s your energy and encouragement that keep me motivated to create and share my music. I’m here because of you, and I hope to continue to inspire and entertain you with my work.
