Q) What projects are you currently working on?

A) “Perpetual Grace, LTD.” is out June 2nd. My other show “Fresh Off the Boat” on ABC just got renewed for its 6th season and I’m very excited that I’ve gotten to be part of something so significant.

Q) What is the premise for your new Epix series “Perpetual Grace, LTD.”

A) “Perpetual Grace, LTD.” is about James, played by Jimmi Simpson, who tries to steal money from Pa, played by Sir Ben Kingsley, who uses the facade of being a pastor to steal people’s money.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) I was very impressed by the dialogue and how it blended dramatic and comic elements.

Q) How was your character Glenn Purdue originally described to you?

A) He was described as earnest even when he is facing large challenges.

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t originally in the script?

A) Glenn was already very well characterized by Bruce Terris and Steve Conrad, the writers of “Perpetual Grace, LTD.” So, I didn’t do any improvising. The dialogue is so well written nothing needed to be added or changed. My role was meant to be smaller though, the writers added scenes for Glenn once we started shooting.

Q) What did you find challenging about playing Glenn?

A) The most interesting element of playing Glenn was his desire to learn and have new experiences. He’s been cooped up in a pawn shop his whole life so everything is a new experience.

Q) Talk about getting to work with iconic actor Ben Kingsley?

A) I did not share any scenes with Sir Ben Kingsley but Jimmi Simpson was great to work with. He would run lines with me over the phone so we both were prepared. I met Sir Ben Kingsley at the premiere and he was really nice.

Q) Did any of the other actors offer any words of wisdom?

A) One of the great things about this ensemble is that even though everyone is so experienced they trusted me and my performance.

Q) Often times settings take on the role of a character. How does the setting of the show lend itself to the series?

A) New Mexico, where we shot the series, is beautiful and lends a gritty quality to the series.

Q) What about “Perpetual Grace, LTD” do you think will make it a fan favorite?

A) I think fans will appreciate its uniqueness and the performances of all of the other amazing actors. It’s just so different from anything else out there.

Q) Are you looking forward to the fan feedback you’ll receive to the show, where can fans follow you?

A) I’m really looking forward to seeing what people think about the show and Glenn. Fans can follow me @dashlwilliams on Twitter and Instagram.

Q) We love you on “Fresh Off The Boat.” What do you think it is about the show that fans continue to enjoy year after year?

A) I think people come back to the because of the quality and consistency of the writing. It’s such a fun show to be a part of. I’m excited for Season 6!

Q) What advice would you give to up and coming actors and actresses?

A) The advice that I would give is to listen and be generous to other actors.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work you do?

A) I would like to say thank you because I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without their consistent support!
