The episode opens in London, 1977 – three nights after Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) joined the Legends. Entering a club Charlie’s band members are complaining that she’s been absent for the past two nights. A woman enters, killing the bouncer on the way past. The woman goes inside and people start screaming and running out, including one of the band members. Gilly (Aria DeMaris) grabs him, but the woman kills her with a bone dagger stake thrown through her back and Declan (Jack Gillett) runs. He trips and asks what the woman wants. The woman, Atropos (Joanna Vanderham), says that she wants Clothos and Declan realizes that she’s talking about Charlie. The band member says that Charlie left days ago and Atropos says that her sister should know that she can’t outrun fate. Atropos glows and a ringing noise sounds out, and the band member stares at her true form and screams.

On the Waverider Zari (Tala Ashe) wakes up to discover that she’s in bed with Nate (Nick Zano), cuddling. When he wakes up, he’s equally surprised to see her there. Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton) reports that Zari sleepwalked in there. Zari isn’t happy with the situation and Nate points out that she sleepwalked into his room. She doesn’t want to discuss it and quickly leaves and runs into Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) in the hallway working on some repairs. Nate runs up and says that Zari left something in his room and Behrad is impressed. Charlie arrives and sees Nate and Zari together. Nate insists that they didn’t get together, but Behrad doesn’t believe them. Constantine (Matt Ryan) arrives and tells Charlie that they have some business to attend to. They agree to have a drink first and Gideon tells them that she has bad news for Charlie.

In the study Charlie reads a newspaper article about a slaughter at the club where she performed, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) arrive and say that they’ll figure out which Encore was responsible. Charlie explains that her sister Atropos was the culprit. Sara tries to offer her condolences, but Charlie says that she doesn’t have a clue what she’s going through.

After Charlie leaves Sara says that they’re putting the hunt for the Loom on hold. Constantine insists that they need to get the next piece and Sara tells him to find out more about Atropos, so they know what her godlike powers are. Constantine irritably apologizes for overstepping the mark, but after the others leave he casts a spell to locate the next piece of the Loom and takes the jumpship to British Columbia.

Back in Hell, Atropos enters the basement shop of the Coin Maker. The Coin Maker, Lachesis (Sarah Strange), welcomes her sister back. Atropos says that Clotho is Charlie and Lachesis tells her that Astra (Olivia Swann) knows of Constantine who is companions with Charlie. She tells Atropos that if they find Constantine, they’ll find Charlie as well.

The others find out about Constantine taking the jumpship, so Sara and Charlie agree to go find him while Ava stays on the ship to keep an eye on Mick (Dominic Purcell) who is trying to deal with having a daughter. Mick is looking at the teddy bear he tried to give Lita (Mina Sundwall). She ripped its head off. Ava tells Mick that he should be proud of her daughter, who is tough like him. Mick wants to go back to the reunion party and stop himself from making out with Ali (Lisa Marie DiGiacinto). Ava warns that’s a bad idea and suggests they go back through Lita’s life via time travel and plant Mick in all of Lita’s key memories. Mick notes that it won’t work because he spent the first ten years of Lita’s life in prison. Ava gets an idea.

Elsewhere on the ship Zari finds a cat. It walks into a room and Zari follows it. She finds Behrad playing a video game. He greets her sister and she meows to the cat. There’s no sign of the cat and Zari wonders if she’s losing it. Behrad tells her to take deep breaths and invites her to fight in the video game. Zari has flashbacks of her old life and beats Behrad. She tells her brother that it’s like she’s being controlled by someone who makes her do awful things like cuddle with Nate. She touches the totem and activates it, firing a blast of wind.

Back in 2020 Sara and Charlie traipse through the forest and Sara finds a public notice of the TV show “Supernatural” filming in the area. Charlie then starts to explain what she and her sister did to weave Fate and how dangerous Atropos really is. Constantine continues tracing the Loom and finds an Impala with a corpse in the back. Sara comes over and says that it’s a prop and asks what Constantine’s plan is if Atropos shows up.

As Sara tells Constantine that it’s not going to be easy, Charlie hears the voice of Atropos in her head. She tells the others and the jump ship explodes. Atropos says in Charlie’s head that she’s coming for her. Sara calls Ava for backup, but realizes that with the jump ship destroyed the comms are down. Astrops tells Charlie to come to her or her friends will die. Charlie walks off.

On the ship Behrad explains to Zari and Nate how the timeline changed when they saved Heyworld. They figure that Zari is feeling a temporal echo of the original Zari. Nate and Behrad work out that the original Zari was a Legend, a computer hacker and used the totem.

In Central City in 2004, Mick is working on a crib at Ali’s house. Ali is discharged early from the hospital and arrives at the house, wondering what Mick is doing there. Ava claims that she’s Mick’s parole officer and she arranged a visitation release for him in return for information. Ali says that they should leave, but then sees the crib that Mick was assembling. She admits that it’s beautiful and introduces Mick to his daughter. He looks at baby Lita and smiles. Ava suggests that she take a family photo. And queue the montage! Mick and Ava travel to different parts of Lita’s life and take photos of all the moments together including 2009 when Lita shows him her tooth that came out. In 2012 Mick and Lita go out trick-or-treating as Heat Wave and Captain Cold.

In 2020 Charlie finds Atropos, who says that Charlie destroyed their family and destroyed humanity by giving them free will. After Charlie reverts to her child form, Atropos tells her to lead her to the Loom. As the young Charlie starts to take her hand, Sara arrives and attacks Atropos. Atropos easily pins Sara, but Constantine steps out and starts gathering hemlock for a spell. He swallows the hemlock and a few drops of Sara’s blood after Atropos hits her, summoning a windstorm. He tells Sara to get Charlie out. Sara picks up the young Charlie and takes her away while Constantine holds off Atropos.

Charlie reverts to her adult self and tells Sara that Constantine is dead because Atropos doesn’t let people live. She says that no matter what she does she can’t escape her sisters. Constantine joins them and Charlie hugs him in relief. But back in the forest the real Constantine lies dead on the forest floor.

On the ship Zari is telling Behrad that it’s weird having to share the spotlight with her temporal echo. She says that it’s a lot to take in because the other Zari sounds like a cool third-wave superhero that Nate and Behrad like more than her. Behrad says that he likes “his” Zari and says that it’s an opportunity for self-reflection. He suggests that Zari goes into the air totem and speaks to their ancestors. Behrad offers to help her with some “psychotropic assistance” and insists that it’s perfectly safe.

Ava gives Mick a photo album with all the photos to give to Lita in the present day. He goes up to the house and Lita answers the door. Instead of remembering the good times she remembers all the times that Mick bailed on her instead. She gives him the album back and tells him to leave. When Mick starts to go, Lita says that he’s running like he always does. Ava goes after Mick and says that it was a terrible idea and she can fix it. She suggests that it’s time that Mick goes back and tell Lita that he’s sorry.

Sara, Charlie and “Constantine” find the dead “Supernatural” Season 15 production crew. Atropos/Constantine says that if a Loom piece is left somewhere there are consequences. Charlie explains that she’ll clean up her mess and get the ring from inside a hollow tree where it’s hidden.

As Charlie approaches the tree the crew come back as zombies. Sara takes them out so that Charlie can get the ring. As Charlie grabs the ring Atropos reverts back to her normal form and throws her bone daggers into Charlie. Atropos starts glowing and blasts Sara back.

Atropos realizes that Charlie is bleeding and mortal so she dismisses her as pathetic. She tells Charlie to apologize and they can heal her and bring order to the madness. Charlie says that she likes the madness and that she’s a Legend, not a Fate. Atropos notes that Sara is dead and that makes Charlie nothing. She then takes the ring.

Gideon reports that the no one is responding from the jump ship so Ava and Nate take the Waverider to them to find them. As the Waverider lands the Loom starts to glow, indicating where the ring is. Behrad stays on the ship with Zari who is under meditation and finds herself confronting the original Zari. Zari 2.0 explains that Behrad is on the Waverider and their parents are alive. Zari-1 realizes that she was trapped with the other totem bearers when the timeline was changed.

Zari-1 asks how things are with Nate and admits that it’s weird to feel jealous of herself. Zari 2.0 says that Nate is Behrad’s best friend and it would be weird if she had feelings for her brother’s best mate. She says that Zari-1 must be disappointed in her. Zari 2.0 explains that she’s good with her family being alive and that she’s having fun.

On the ship Atropos arrives at the bridge and sees the ring in a box. Behrad hides and calls Ava to say that they have a problem. Ava realizes who Atropos is and tells Behrad to wake up Zari.

Behrad goes to Zari and attempts to wake her up. Behrad steps in Atropos’ way until she realizes that Zari is Behrad’s sister. She threatens to kill Zari unless Behrad gets out of the way. So, he steps aside. Once Atropos gets the ring, it glows and she turns and leaves.

On her way out Behrad grabs a sword and attacks her. Unfortunately, she stops his blow. She says that he doesn’t belong there and pulls out a glowing string from his chest. She tells him that there’s no more defying fate and cuts the string. Behrad dies just as Sara and the others arrive.

Sara grabs the Encore-killing sword and goes after Atropos. Atropos wonders what Sara is as she survived seeing her true form. Sara attacks her, explaining she survived worse. The Waverider lifts off and Sara manages to stab her with the sword, but Atropos shrugs it off and knocks Sara down. Sara tells Gideon to open the doors and Atropos is sucked out. She grabs onto Sara’s ankle and Sara grabs onto netting. Charlie arrives, grabs the sword and cuts off Atropos’ hand, leaving the two rings behind as Atropos falls into the timestream.

The two Zaris hug. Zari-1 tells Zari 2.0 to come back soon and bring Behrad. Zari 2.0 returns to the real world asking to see her brother. Nate and Ava are stood in front of her when Zari sees Behrad’s body and runs to it, crying trying to wake him up.

The others disappear and Zari goes to the medbay where Constantine is recovering. Zari tells him that Behrad is dead and he’s dead because of Constantine getting them into the entire mess. She asks if the Loom can bring Behrad back and Constantine says that it can if they get the last piece. Zari says that she can handle anything and she promises that she isn’t leaving Constantine’s side until he brings Behrad back.
