Q) Your new track “IDWTAY” is epic! Tell us the story behind creating it.

A) Thank you so much!! I got together with my friend and co-writer/ producer, Stefano, and we were talking about the idea of moving on from a situationship. We wanted to write about the desire to move on but also the toxicity wrapped up in also wanting the person you were previously seeing to be a little jealous (and how that can be a turn on). [laughs] Stef had started cooking up a track to write along to and once we came across the chorus the rest kind of wrote itself. It became just a hype, cheeky song we both love so much, and it’s been so exciting having it officially out in the world!

Q) It’s definitely a song that will absolutely hype you up. What kind of fan response have you been hearing to it?

A) I’ve been absolutely blown away by the response I’ve received from my fans as well as strangers. I think content wise, the song itself seems to have been relatable, but I think people are truly a fan of that 2000’s pop-punk/ emo vibe and having it circle back through this song has caught people’s attention. It got on Apple Music’s Best New Music playlist alongside artists like Noah Kahan, The Kid LAROI and Green Day (which is one of all-time favorite bands), which was incredible. To be listed alongside artists I admire so much was such an amazing feeling, and I’m so happy fans have shown me and this song so much love so far!

Q) What do you think it is about the song “IDWTAY” that has made it such a fast fan favorite?

A) Similarly to what I said above, unfortunately I think a lot of us have experienced this kind of situation when dating and can relate to that aspect of things (especially the girlies). This song is totally an angsty girl anthem and I believe that’s helped the song gain attention. I also think people have been missing the true pop-punk/ 2000’s vibe and hearing that kind of emo music make a wave back around is super nostalgic for fans of this genre.

Q) What does it mean to you to be getting more and more recognition for your music?

A) I mean, it feels super great to have my music become more recognized, but truly I’m just really proud of these songs and the joy it brings me when creating in the studio. I’ve fallen in love with making these songs and finally being able to share it with my fans is the most fulfilling part about it all.

Q) With a track out in October and now this new song, are you focused more on releasing some new singles soon or will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I have a few more singles set to release, but then I am planning on releasing an EP this summer, which I’m super excited about! I have so many things planned I cannot wait to finally share it all with my fans.

Q) Are you able to tease if there will be a tour coming soon?

A) I will say I am currently getting a band together and rehearsing all of my new songs and the hope is to tour soon. So hopefully you will see me out and about soon!

Q) What are some of your favorite songs to perform live?

A) To be completely honest, I haven’t played any of my new music live yet. So, preparing to do that for the first time’s been super exciting and a little nerve racking! But as far as any songs, I’ve always enjoyed covering songs by queen Avril Lavigne, Stevie Nicks and other bands such as Led Zeppelin and a bunch of classic rock/ pop music. There are no songs in particular, but rather just all of their work and that kind of genre. I think being able to rock out is so much fun.

Q) What advice would you give to up-and-coming musicians that you wish you had known from the start?

A) Advice I would give is that music truly is a long game, and you need to do it because you love it, and not just because you want to be an overnight success. I’ve been making music for a long time but after seven years I’ve finally locked into my sound and gained recognition for my music (and I’m still such a new artist)! Be excited for the journey, not the destination. You will start seeing success when the art is good, and YOU are passionate about it. Don’t worry what anyone else thinks.

Q) Who are some artists that you would love to collaborate with or even are currently on your playlist?

A) The Maine, Avril Lavigne, WILLOW, Maggie Lindemann, Blink-182, Halsey, Paramore and Charli XCX to name a few.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the music that you make?

A) Thank you guys so much for your continuous love and support. It means the world to me. I cannot wait to keep rolling out this new music for you all and hope to rock out with you in person soon. And if you’re going through a difficult time right now or just need some extra love, I hope my music can provide joy to you in some way and know that I’m grateful for your existence. Keep the faith. You are important. Thank you for listening and for allowing me to be a part of your lives, even if it’s just through these songs. I love you all so much!
