Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) My biggest musical influences right now would definitely have to be Kelsea Ballerini and Taylor Swift. They are huge role models for me as a woman in music, and they have really inspired me to be more vulnerable in my writing.

Q) Please tell us about the song “Talk Me Out of Him.”

A) “Talk Me Out of Him” is actually a tribute to my friends and all the advice and support they have given me over the years. I feel really lucky to be surrounded by people in my life who never hesitate to be there for me. My friends are some of the most important people to me, and I wanted to have a song written just for them.

Q) Where did the inspiration for the song come from?

A) This song came from a particular conversation that my friends and I had about a guy who one of my friends was seeing. This person wasn’t treating our friend right, and we were there to give advice and help them work through it. It made me think of all the times that my friends have been my shoulder to lean on and how many breakups they have helped me heal from. My friends always want the best for me, and I want the best for them. This song is my way of celebrating that!

Q) The song is such a sweet tribute to friendship. What kind of fan response have you been receiving to the song?

A) The response to this song has been really positive! It’s been exciting to see people resonate with the message behind it and talk about their own experiences with me online.

Q) You’ve said the song reminds you of a Carly Pearce and Kelsea Ballerini song. In what ways?

A) I think the storytelling in this song is really reminiscent of Carly Pearce’s “I Need a Ride Home.” It has that same nostalgic feel that I love in her songs. I take a lot of inspiration from Carly and Kelsea. I’ve always been huge fans of both of them and the music that they create.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I think for right now I’ve been really enjoying just releasing singles. It’s been exciting to be able to try new things in my music and give each song its own life!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) My dream collaboration right now is definitely Kelsea Ballerini. I love what she is doing in her music and the risks that she’s been taking. It would be a dream come true to have a song with her in the future.

Q) What artists/musicians are you currently listening to the most?

A) Right now, I’ve been listening to Maisie Peters, Gracie Abrams, and Sadie Jean!

Q) What advice do you have for up and coming singer-songwriters?

A) My best advice for up and coming singer-songwriters is to keep pushing. Sometimes this industry can feel really discouraging and it can be scary to feel stagnant in it. I think it’s important to remember that every song you release, every post you make, and every show you play is a step in the right direction. If you keep going and stay committed to it, you’ll get to where you want to go!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the beautiful music that you make?

A) I wish I could find the words to express how grateful I am to every single fan and supporter of my music. Every stream means absolutely everything to me, and I constantly have to pinch myself when I see the response behind every song.
