Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say if you mix Taylor Swift and Kacey Musgraves together. I love storytelling, painting a picture for my listeners. I also love having music that is relatable.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences? I have so many that I love and look up to.

A) Some of my top favs that inspire me are Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift and Patty Griffin.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “The Deep End.”

A) All of my songs come from some of my journal entries. This song in particular has to do with being vulnerable with love and wondering where you stand in a relationship. Is it the love that I dream of, or is it even worth the fall?

Q) It’s been said that “The Deep End” is the perfect song for hopeless romantics. In what way?

A) In an ideal relationship we all want to have the love we feel reciprocated. This song is a hopeless romantic longing for her partner to feel the same.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) I chose a pool scene and specifically one that had a deep end. I thought it would be a creative setting showing myself in a deep end/in love. I thought that just having myself in the pool would show how vulnerable I am.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My songs all come from some part of my journal. Every session is different. Sometimes I can go into a session knowing the words that I might be feeling that day and other times I might be carrying the melody. Each writing session is super creative and always runs differently.

Q) Mark Seigel lent a hand with the production on “The Deep End,” but how much of a say do you have when it comes to the production of your music?

A) Mark is super talented. I met with him before we started working on this song and we talked about what my vision was for this song. We went through instruments I wanted played on the track, to how I see it going. From there the musicians and him worked their magic.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Most definitely [smiles]

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) One of my favorite places to perform is The Bluebird in Nashville. It’s such an iconic place. So many legends have played there and for me to get the opportunity to play where they have, is a blessing.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would love to collab with Kacey Musgraves. [smiles]

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I love Kelsea Ballerini’s new album. Her music is so real and relatable.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is a way of life for all of us. It’s the best way I can keep in touch with them. I can’t wait to start touring so that I can see them all in person.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) From the bottom of my heart, thank you!!! I have a passion to share my lyrics through music with yall. And I am so grateful for your support. I can’t wait to share more soon. [smiles] XO! Evanthia
