Q) You are often described as a country music artist, but how would you describe the music you make?

A) I try not to pay too much attention to genre tags. For me, I always like to create without worrying if it’s gonna fit somewhere. I guess my sound would straddle the pop-country lane, and I’ve been embraced fully by the country community in Nashville which has been amazing.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I grew up listening to people like Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Billy Joel and Taylor Swift. I love storytellers and people who aren’t afraid to take risks. I love what Beyonce is doing right now too. I just love artists who are true to themselves and create worlds for the listeners.

Q) How did you and Max Boyle meet before writing your latest release “Take A Break” together?

A) We met at a writing session in Nashville and quickly built a friendship. I’ve loved working with him, he’s such an incredible talent.

Q) What is the meaning behind “Take A Break?”

A) When Max and I met, Max was just coming out of breakup and I was still processing the breakdown of a ten year relationship and we just kinda came up with this concept of what it’d be like to just take a break from the break up and have one more night with that person to properly say goodbye.

Q) What kind of fan response have you been receiving to the song?

A) It’s been amazing! I’m so grateful for every stream and comment. As an independent artist it really does mean the world.

Q) Do you plan on creating a music video for “Take A Break?”

A) Yes! We’ve filmed some visuals for this which I’ve shared on socials. I’m very much a visual artist and I love bringing the song to life through film. I think you get a deeper meaning of the song when you can see it played out on screen.

Q) Congratulations on all of your recent successes. What was it like making your debut performing at The Grand Ole Opry?

A) Thank you! The Opry was an incredible moment and the highlight of my career to date. To step into that circle was so special and I got to share the moment with some of my close friends backstage from the US and UK and it just felt like I truly belonged and had been accepted by country music. I’ll never forget that moment, and I’m so grateful for the Opry for giving me the opportunity. It was a dream come true.

Q) You are performing at the British Country Music Festival this summer. What can fans expect from a live Twinnie performance?

A) I’m so excited to be back in Blackpool. I went to dance college there and I love the place and the people. The last time I performed at TBCMF was in 2019 so I can’t wait to be back at the festival. It’s a full band show so I’m going all out.

Q) Do you plan on going on tour as well?

A) I have a few support slots lined up, but the plan is to put a headline tour together sooner than later. I’m just trying to get everything lined up right now. Where would you like to see me play?

Q) You met the queen Dolly Parton. Was she as nice as you imagined?

A) That was such a surreal moment for me. She’s an icon! Meeting her was incredible and she’s just so down to earth and genuine.

Q). You often post to TikTok with your niece. Does she want to have a singing career like yourself?

A) She loves singing and her voice is amazing. If she does decide to go into the industry, then she has a bright future for sure.

Q) Who would you love to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I have so many!! I just love great talent. Obviously, Shania is one but I’m open to working with anyone.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and your music?

A) Just thank you so much!! Your support means the world to me and I’m so grateful the music means something to you.
