Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Visual Pop

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Emphasis on SOME: Amy Winehouse, The Cure, Dolly Parton, Erykah Badu, FKA Twigs, Gwen Stefani, Kurt Cobain, Linda Rondstadt, Kurt Cobain, Solange and Travis Scott. Okay, I’m stopping myself there!

Q) Your voice has been compared to Amy Winehouse. How does that make you feel?

A) See above. [smiles] Honored and humbled.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Crawling Back to You.”

A) It’s about a boy who did me wrong over and over and it made me the worst version of myself. It took me a year to fully recover and to recognize just what I let myself endure and become. I find it hard to talk about my feelings, but I could feel my friends and myself growing tired about having that same conversation about that same person. Although I knew what was best for me, I kept crawling back.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) That we’ve all been there with someone we love!

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The fifteen second visualizer swiftly shows a variety of mood you experience. Waiting for their call, feeling sexy in spite of that person, finally getting the call and being so angry you can’t hide your emotions!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Every song is different for me. Normally it starts with a melody singing over an instrumental and then I often refer to my little book of thoughts and if a past phrase fits the song it flows from there.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) INNER SPACE all came from sketches I produced on my own… with a little help. Then, Stefan Skarbek made it all genius!  Stefan worked with the great Amy Winehouse and it was such an honor to have him produce INNER SPACE. He is TALENT and it wouldn’t BE without him.

Q) Your new EP INNER SPACE is out now. What are some themes you explore on it?

A) Depression, disassociation, self-love, self-hate, finding happiness, being in love, triumph and darkness.

Q) What songs off of it challenged you the most creatively?

A) I would say “Buco Nero.” The song was there – it poured out of me. But it was hard to record some of my worst thoughts knowing it would be shared. But it needs to be shared; we need to be vocal about our mental health ALWAYS.

Q) What tracks off the EP hold a special place in your heart?

A) All of them. They all came from different places and different periods of my life. It is really wrapping up a creative chapter full of a rollercoaster of emotions in the span of four years. Now that it’s out, I’m excited for the next musical chapters to come.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan response have you been receiving so far?

A) I have ten to twenty mighty fans (that I know of) not including friends and family. I love and appreciate them all and they have been so supportive. <3

Q) Will there be a tour coming in the near future or are you more focused on sharing singles for now?

A) I am so excited about the music I have been making so I would say singles, but there will be shows coming your way on occasion with INNER SPACE and more. [smiles]

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from exploring INNER SPACE as a whole?

A) The beauty of the first EP coming from a new artist. I hope it encourages you to put your art out in the world. It’s not easy to share your work if it’s for ten people or ten million. This is your sign to release something.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Mark Ronson

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Reach out to me on any of my platforms. I want to hear from you and support you!
