Halloween has arrived at a lightning speed to the ghost’s house and Thor (Devan Chandler Long) cannot be more excited about it. He goes to wake Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and hurries them up to start the seance that will bring his beloved Flower (Sheila Carrasco) back. Sam informs her husband about Thor’s presence and Jay explains that regardless of how excited he is about tonight, they are still waiting for Flower’s brother to send them an object that had belonged to her so they can start the ceremony. This is something that does not sit well with the Viking as he leaves the room complaining about it.

Later that morning we can see Jay and Sam getting ready for the Halloween party they’ll be hosting that night. As usual, Jay is in charge of the kitchen while Sam is taking a last-minute look at the guests list. Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), Pete (Richie Moriarty), Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) and Sas (Román Zaragoza) have now joined them there. Sam shows her excitement at having invited Caroline, a cool owner of the town bookshop, as Jay happily shares that Nico (John Reynolds) and Sasha (Christine Ko) a very famous power couple that has accepted their invitation to the party. To make everything even better, they will all be spending the weekend there. As they are still discussing the subject, the doorbell rings announcing their first guests’ arrival, which is none other than Sasha and Nico. Everyone goes to the front door to give them a proper welcome and the couple seems excited to be there. Thor shows up thinking Flower brother’s package has arrived and gets mad when Trevor (Asher Grodman) points out that the special delivery is not there yet. This provokes Thor into cutting off Trevor’s hand with an axe. Fortunately, the hand grows back to how it was very fast. As they are chatting about the possible activities to do for the weekend another woman walks in wearing cat ears. That is then when Sam realizes that it is Carol (Caroline Aaron), Pete’s widow to whom she sent the invitation by mistake when thinking she was sending it to Caroline instead. Carol expresses how ready she is to party and takes the opportunity to give them a box of doughnuts holes she has brought as a way to thank them. At that moment Pete walks in the room looking disgusted at seeing his ex-wife there.

Jay has taken Carol to the kitchen where she is getting ready to go out and have the best night of her life, but he asks for her assistance with the food instead. The woman does not seem too pleased with it but agrees to help him, nonetheless. He leaves her alone and she takes the chance to eat some of the doughnut holes she loves so much; however, she starts choking and no one seems to be around to help her. Carol wanders around the room, finally collapsing to the floor.

Things continue to work as they regularly do in the house. Everyone has gathered now to perform the seance that is supposedly to bring Flower back. Sam and Jay lead the ceremony using a bag of weed that Flower’s brother has sent as one of her personal belongings. While they are focused on it Nico and Sasha show up at their door looking somewhat confused at what they are seeing and asking for the Wi-Fi password. Jay and Sam explain they are saying some prayers for the party to be a success. The other couple does not even try to dig any further and decides to walk away from them. They continue with the ceremony, but nothing happens. The ghosts think that maybe what they need is something that Flower had actually on her when she died and that might help them to summon her. Unfortunately, in order to do that they need to go in search of any object that might had dropped off of her at the place she died. Sam does not want to do it given that she truly wants to enjoy the party, so the ghosts suggest that maybe Jay can be the one assigned to the task. Sam informs him what the ghosts have said and, although he seems to be reluctant to do it at first, he is finally convinced when Sam tells him that if he does it that he’ll give Thor the chance to confess to Flower how much he loved her.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen Carol can be seen now standing on her own two feet and a tad confused about nearly choking. She is grateful to be back and shakes the feeling off, going in search of the party completely unaware of her body lying down in the pantry’s floor.

The party is now in full swing. Sam is trying very hard to get in Nico and Sasha’s good graces while Trevor, Alberta and Hetty watch her painfully from afar. Carol interrupts them and Sam turns to talk to her while the only thing the other two see is the woman talking to herself – which has started to make them uncomfortable. Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) intends to convince Pete to join them and enjoy the party, but the man is still too upset watching how his widow parade around the place. Pete decides to go spend the rest of the night alone in his room. Carol walks by Hetty, Alberta, Trevor and Sas praising them about their costumes, and they realize that the woman is now a ghost. This sends the two to try and inform Sam about it. Unfortunately, Sam does not give them the slightest chance to talk as she is afraid of what others might think of her if they see her talking to herself again.  Right then, she sees Carol intending to talk to Sasha and Nico so she walks and to try to pull her away, but once again the only thing they see is Sam talking to no one in particular. The pair decide to leave her alone and instead go hide in the kitchen to talk about what had just happened when they notice Carol’s body on the floor. Hetty, Sas and Isaac are now there with them and wondering if they should alert Sam about what is happening. However, they remember how she was very clear when she asked them not to bother her. Nico and Sasha think that them saying they didn’t like Carol was a motive for Jay and Sam to kill her since they are desperately looking for their attention and to make matters worse, Jay walks just in time, using the kitchen door carrying a shovel and saying he had a gardening emergency to attend and then adding that he and Sam have something great planned for them later on.

All the ghosts except for Pete, Jay and Sam are now gathering in a room where the man lets them know he had found a ring that belonged to Flower so they can now bring her back. Sasha and Nico eaves drop the conversation, so they decide it’s time for them to go before it’s too late. Pete enters the room and tells them that he just saw the other couple packing their stuff and fleeing down the stairs, so Jay and Sam go in their way trying to stop them. They attempt to convince them to stay but the other two are too scared that they have to come up with a lie about their early departure. Now all the ghosts are there downstairs. Carol shows up talking about a weird experience she just had and then she sees Pete, he looks back at her in awe and Sam finally understands it. They all scream when seeing that Carol is a ghost. Sasha takes the opportunity to punch Jay so her and Nico can escape. Then, Sas explains everything that has been happening behind Sam’s back and that they were all aware of it which makes the woman disappointed in them given that they knew what the party meant for them and still they decided to keep such an important thing from her.

The party has ended and now everyone is gathered again in the living room. Hetty and Alberta intend to apologize to Sam, but she still feels hurt by their actions thinking that she has made a fool out of herself. Carol is still surprised about her current state while Pete thinks that he has been cursed with this. Alberta says that she and Hetty felt hurt that Sam wouldn’t listen to them and just kept pulling them away. Sam apologizes to them as well. Now that all things have been cleared, they go to the dining room and try to bring Flower back one more time, but once again nothing happens. Everyone is confused as to why she won’t show up, but then Thor gets desperate and screams his love’s name at the top of his lungs. Somewhere in the woods there is a well where Flower fell in a month ago and is unable to get out of it. Now, she has heard Thor’s howling and is screaming back for help.
