Sam (James Denton) is playing his guitar while looking a little worried. Then, Cassie (Catherine Bell) arrives and he explains that he is worried about Adam’s surgery but, as always, the woman tries to comfort him about it. Sam leaves and then Joy (Katherine Barrell) enters the kitchen and tells Cassie that she had a dream where Donovan (Marc Bendavid) and Abi (Sarah Power) broke up under a crescent moon, but Cassie recommends her not to say anything about it.

Martha (Catherine Disher) arrives with a group of three French Delegates to her office; they are visiting Middleton as a way to determine if the place can be a good “twin city” for their hometown called Bois du Frère. George (Peter MacNeill) enters the office and Martha introduces him to Henri (Braden Wright) one the delegates, as the person who will take them on tour around the city.

Sam is taking Adam (Scott Cavalheiro) to the OR while Stephanie (Kylee Evans) walks along with them. The doctor leaves them alone and they wave their goodbyes. The woman assures him that she will be waiting for him when he wakes up. Martha goes with Cassie to the vending machine to get something for Stephanie. They speak about Cassie’s first class which will happen later that day. When the machine returns the change Martha is surprised to see a bicentennial half dollar coin and explains to Cassie that only a hundred coins like that were made. She states that Tom (Paul Miller) has been looking for one of those. They return to the waiting room where also Joy and Abi are with Stephanie. Martha gives her the snacks she got for her, but the woman doesn’t seem to be hungry at all. She’s worried about Adam and gets even worse when she remembers that she didn’t decorate the bistro for Martha’s guests’ dinner. So, Cassie, Joy and Abi offer themselves to help her with it. Right that moment Sam walks out of the OR and tells them everything went great and that Adam is going to recover successfully.

George finds his own way to entertain Martha’s guests and plays poker with them using cookies as tokens. Cassie is at the college’s cafeteria when she sees a girl who is later introduced as Sydney (Alice Hamid), as she is unexpectedly thrown a boomerang at her table. The girl takes it and places it into her bag. Her classmate Zack (André Dae Kim) that was the one who threw it asks her to give it back, but she refuses. Cassie approaches to Sydney and says that once her thesis ended up all soaked and she had to re-write it. The girl expresses her disgust at such a thing, but Cassie tells her that those were fun times. The girl’s alarm rings and says that she needs to rush to her next class. Cassie tells her that she will save a seat for her and then magically disappears.

Abi and Joy are decorating the bistro when Donovan walks in asking for his phone. Abi tells him where to find it and he gets mad because it isn’t discharged and cannot believe that Abi didn’t charge it for him. He leaves in a rush while looking mad. The woman decides to go after him. Martha takes Henri and the delegates through a tour around Middleton that is filled with a French style. Henri appreciates the gesture, but he wants to know if George will continue to be their tour guide something that doesn’t seem to suit well for Martha. Joy visits Abi at her store and tells her about her dream and how Cassie didn’t want her to tell her so that she wouldn’t have to worry.

Stephanie is keeping company to Adam while he recovers from the surgery. He starts to wake up slowly. Sam walks into the room and makes a test on just to make sure everything is going well. Adam manages to do everything he is asked to, except to move his fingers, something that worries Stephanie. However, the doctor says that it will take some time for him to be able to do it.

At college Cassie is teaching about one of Camille Pissarro’s painting to her class. She asks for the students’ points of view about his piece and Sydney takes the opportunity to explain about the technique. Cassie invites Sydney and Zack to do an exercise as a way to explain about the artist’s point of view. Martha is still showing to Henri and the other delegates about what they have prepared, but Henri tells her that they are interested in finding a twin city not their replica. They want to go through the true Middleton’s experience.

Cassie has asked her students to draw their point of view about Pissarro’s painting. Zack has deviated from the task and drew Sydney and himself instead. He is embarrassed that Cassie has seen it, but the woman explains that he has managed to actually capture what she asked for. Abi, Donovan and Joy go to Roger Davenport’s secret room in order to find answers about the curse. Abi locates a painting which has a wagon and a crescent moon in it. The moment is interrupted by a call from Martha who asks for their help to redecorate the bistro. Joy decides to take on that task so the couple may continue to search for their solution.

George shows up at the hospital and meets nurse Samantha (Mary Long) at the front desk. He explains that Sam must have left an iPad for him there and they start to flirt with each other. George decides not to carry on and leaves the place. George takes the iPad to Cassie and gives her an apple. She asks him about Samantha and he says that it’s been a while since the last time he dated someone, so he doesn’t know how to do it anymore. The woman advises him to just be himself. Stephanie speaks to Sam about Adam and tells him that she feels like she is not helping him at all just by sitting there and saying nothing, but he says that sometimes that is exactly what someone needs. Sydney goes to Cassie and complains about her grade, but Cassie tells her that what she needed her to do was offering her perspective and not what the book said. Zack walks in and thanks Cassie for his grade, which also happens to be a B.

Adam is asleep when Stephanie walks in and takes him by the hand. He starts to wake up and suddenly squeezes his girlfriend hand. George goes back to the hospital to ask Samantha on a date, but when he is about to reach her he turns back and goes to the vending machine instead. Samantha sees him and goes after him. They share a talk, but then he gets scared and leaves. Sydney meets with Cassie and tells her that she went back to the gallery and shares how the painting they saw earlier reminded her of her dad.

That moment Zack shows up again throwing accidentally the boomerang on Sydney’s way. When he sees that the girl has taken it he doesn’t even try to get it back, but the girl throws it back at him surprising the man. After a moment, he invites her over to play with them. The bistro is now ready to welcome Martha’s guests and they are surprised about everything they find in there.

Abi, Donovan and Joy meet with Sam and Cassie and tell them about the painting they found. Cassie explains that the painting is about the traveler’s wagon. She says that people used to believe that travelers used to cast curses on their way, so she thinks that maybe Roger had some help. Therefore, in order to break the curse, what they need to do is to find someone of their family to help them break it.

The reunion is still on. Samantha and George meet there and they talk about how neither of them has been involved in a relationship in a long time and decide to give it a try. Cassie and Sam are there too having fun. Stephanie arrives and tells them that Adam was finally able to move his hand again. Martha tells them that she had to cancel the French musical and now she doesn’t know what to do instead. Cassie says that since Stephanie can sing and Sam can play the guitar they should share a duet. Cassie makes a video call with Adam so he can be there too somehow. Henri gives a speech and informs everyone that from now on Middleton will be their twin city. He gives Martha a key of their city. The Madame Mayor doesn’t know what to give them though! Cassie goes near her and gives her the coin they got from the vending machine all gussied up. Henri and the delegates are very happy with the gift. Sam and Stephanie sing and play “You’ve Got a Friend” by Carole King much to everyone’s delight. Donovan and Abi realize that the crack on the ruby is getting bigger and they still don’t know how to break the curse.

Later that night at the Grey House Joy is putting some ice cream on a bowl when Abi walks in looking very sad and saying that her and Donovan have broken up. Joy gives the ice cream to her.
