Q) How would you describe yourself as an artist?

A) I’m an easy-listening country/pop artist with the goal of connection in mind! [laughs] I want to be able to relate to my listeners through my own lyrics and personal experiences.

Q) Who are some musicians you look up to as an artist?

A) Kacey Musgraves, Ingrid Andress, Sean McConnell, Julia Michaels, Noah Gunderson, Maren Morris, Ben Rector and SO many more!

Q) What are some themes you explore on your new EP Finally?

A) I tried to keep this album super diverse and give listeners a look into many different aspects of my personality. I dive into the fun-loving, bubbly side of life, the heartbreak and the definition of unconditional love.

Q) When you were down to selecting the tracks for this EP how did you decide what tracks you would include?

A) I wrote these songs over the course of about a year, but when it came down to deciding on project tracks, these felt like the obvious choice! They all individually feel like little pieces of me and that’s how I knew they were songs I wanted out in the world.

Q) What is your favorite song off the EP and why?

A) I think “Shoes to Fill” will always be my favorite just because it’s sort of our family anthem now! It’s about my dad and is true to not only me, but my three sisters as well who share the same sort of relationship with him.

Q) What is your process for songwriting?

A) It looks different every time, but I always like to begin with a really strong hook or concept and write towards that!

Q) One song that’s really good is “Before He Could.” What’s the deeper meaning behind this song?

A) Thank you so much, first of all! This song is basically referring to someone who is so terrified to get their heart broken, that they end up breaking their own heart instead. It’s basically taking the easy way out, but leaving both people hurt and confused.

Q) What instruments did you end up using for this EP?

A) In my production I have a range of instruments! You’ll have to listen to find out. [wink]

Q) What do you hope the audience takes away from your music?

A) I hope everyone walks away from my music feeling a little lighter and more understood than when they began.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan feedback have you received to your new EP?

A) Everyone has been SO kind and uplifting. The responses have honestly been overwhelming and I feel like the luckiest girl alive.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) There are truly so many people and my answer would probably change day-to-day. However, I think Brett Young would be an awesome fit and I would be honored work with him!

Q) Any chance you’ll be doing some live streaming to help promote Finally?

A) Definitely! I am constantly doing lives, takeovers and interviews to better connect with my audiences. Follow me on socials to find out where I’ll be and when!

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) I LOVE hearing your feedback and stories. Please never hesitate to reach out!!
