Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I have many musical influences, but I would categorize my sound as a classy romantic pop vibe. I don’t like to box myself in a genre too much, and love to explore my deepest artistic feelings at any given moment, so it is always slightly changing.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) As a child I was really into all the divas: Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera (to name a few), but I also love artists like Elton John and Prince. I sang in my church congregation quite a bit growing up, so I have that influence too! Let’s not forget my obsession with musicals!

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “I Wanna Know?”

A) I want to know more about the possibilities of the purest human emotion… love. This is the basis of my new single “I Wanna Know.” It’s an anthem for the world, but especially dreamers. About a big ideal based on one’s innermost desires and feelings that have a deep meaning in the most passional way. It’s about overcoming boundaries and a quest for light.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think the intention behind the song along with the vibe and frequency it gives off, allows the viewer to really dream and even evaluate some deep feelings of their own.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) We wanted to create a video that was introspective. A glimpse into a passionate woman’s life. The rain during the first half of the video is symbolic as it not only creates the mood of romance, but it also highlights her determination and symbolizes a rebirth. You will see Cherry Blossoms throughout the second half of the video. Cherry Blossoms are metaphors for human existence – their bloom time is only fleeting. They also signify love and the female mystique (beauty, strength, and sexuality) along with tranquility and peace.

Q) What is your songwriting process?

A) I try to be open to the process and let it flow naturally. Generally, I know the vibe I want and what I want to say. The challenge is delivering that message in a poetic, musical and catchy way. I usually figure out the chord progression, then add the melody and lastly the lyrics. Kind of all at the same time too.

Q) Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) I have notebook that I like to jot down poetry or random lyrics that pop in my mind. Or even just topic ideas. However, once I create the music it’s much easier to bring it home.

Q) You worked with Ermanno Corrado on “I Wanna Know” but how much of a say do you have in the production of your music?

A) I felt that Ermanno and my team at Sonos Music Records truly respected my artistry and vision. They collaborated with me every step of the way making sure that I was satisfied with their interpretation of my demo. In the end they only enhanced what I thought was possible.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Right now, I am composing my EP which will be recorded in Italy this Fall. While I am there, we will have a music video shooting as well as photography. I am also releasing a Christmas EP this year from some studio work I did years ago! I am so excited to release these songs again (properly this time) and upload them on musical platforms for all to enjoy during the holiday season.

Q) With concerts being on hold, what have you missed most about being on stage?

A) I’ve noticed many artists recently posting their world tours starting in 2022. This is comforting as it shows hope for the future and light at the end of the tunnel. While the pandemic was challenging for artists, it opened a new door that allowed more creativity online. I do LOVE performing and being on stage as it is so rewarding and allows you to connect with fans more intimately. You can’t beat the adrenaline of live performing. I recently had the opportunity to sing the USA National Anthem in a sold out arena and was reminded how much I love feeling the support and energy of a crowd.

Q) What are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) My favorite places to perform are on big stages with an orchestra or even smaller events with a string ensemble. I really enjoy a classy environment surrounded by creative and artistic musicians. Overall, if the environment and atmosphere feels good I’m a happy performer.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) I would be honored to collaborate with artists like Andrea Bocelli, Hauser (cello), Pia Toscano, David Foster and Carrie Underwood. A massive dream is to get the opportunity to create art with the incredible Hans Zimmer! Go big or go home. I also want to collaborate with Disney. I am open to so much. With effort, passion and faith I know the universe will bring exactly what is meant for me.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I tend to love to listen to my fellow artist friends. Maybe because it means more to me knowing the actual artist. Chiara Crystal from Italy (who is also an artist at Sonos Music Records) is currently on my playlist. She is amazing and is actually releasing new music soon so stay tuned!

Q) You are part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with fans?

A) I think fans enjoy seeing a closer look at the artists they support as it deepens their connection to your music. It makes it all more personal.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s hard to put my gratitude into words, but it means the world. This is only the beginning, and I can’t wait to share my upcoming work with you all!
