Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Our sound mixes contemporary country with pop/rock influence to make for a twangy, California country vibe.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

We love all things Shania Twain and Keith Urban! But we also have influences such as the Allman Brothers (Dani) and Usher (Sofie)

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Got It from My Mama.”

A) We wrote “Got It from My Mama” on Zoom in the midst of the pandemic with our good friends Kalie Shorr and Hillary Reynolds. Sofie came in with the idea to write a song honoring our moms and the song morphed into something that has really taken on a life of its own. From people reaching out saying they’ve lost their moms and the song makes them think of her to people using it for a mother daughter dance at their wedding.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) We think it’s the use of specific details like “matching tattoos” or “hazel eyes” sung in the song that make people think about ways their moms have shaped who they are today and relate it to their lives.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) We are super excited to release the music video for “Got It from My Mama” because it takes the song to a whole new level. We had our dream team work on the project, and it is something we are very proud of! We don’t want to give away too much before the release, but let’s just say it’s a feel-good piece that pulls on the heart strings.

Q) The song has earned over 2million+ views on TikTok! How does that make you feel?

A) It truly is the most exciting thing to watch listeners dance, sing along and relate to our song!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) We like to keep the songwriting process organic. Sometimes it’s a riff, sometimes a melody, but most often it’s a lyric or an idea that we build from.

Q) Your songs tend to put a modern-day spin on the female experience. Why is that so important for you as songwriters?

A) We write about things that we are going through in hopes that it translates to our fans to let them know, hey we see you and you’re not alone.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) We have some genius collaborators that we work with, and although we have plenty of ideas that we throw their way, inevitably we love to allow them creative freedom to bring the songs somewhere different and magical.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the future?

A) That is the plan! We have a lot of new music that we can’t wait to share!

Q) You recently opened for Billy Ray Cyrus! What did this accomplishment mean to you?

A) Billy Ray is a legend, and we were honored to be on the same stage!

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) There is no greater honor than singing the National Anthem at various events. We recently sang at Dodger Stadium and the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and we felt very lucky to be a small part in honoring our country that way.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) We would love to collaborate with Keith Urban and/or a boy band collab with NSYNC

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) We’ve been listening to Jo Dee Messina’s I’m Alright album a lot recently. There’s such a cool and powerful 1998 female country vibe to that album.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

Q) We love being able to connect with fans via socials because it allows us to get to know them and invite them out to say hi to us in person.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) We’re so thankful for the continuous support and we can’t wait to give y’all some new music and new visuals! Because of you we get to do what we love every single day, and for that we are eternally grateful!
